Hi guys,
I must admit, in the world of AV setups, I struggle most of all with understanding audio issues. I've just ordered a new Sony home cinema kit, I have a 3 way optical switcher to connect to one of its optical inputs that sorts out my PS3, 360 and SkyHD. My question regards the Wii, which as I understand it, employs Dolby Pro Logic II to spoof surround sound out of 2 channels. The question is this: for that to work properly, do I need to connect the 2 audio cables from the Wii component cable directly into the amplifier in the Home Cinema kit, or can I just connect the component to the TV then connect the TV to the amplifier? Doing it the latter way, will I still get the Pro Logic II out of the Wii?
Thanks for your help!
