I've done more testing with this, it definitely does not do this on any other inputs apart from HDMI. One possible source is the Digital NR - turning this off removes the problem entirely however that doesn't explain why the problem only occurs over HDMI. It's definitely not an issue specific to Bioshock either, not only does it occur in Bioshock but I've seen it in Boom Boom Rocket and DVD playback as well. I can live with the Digital NR turned off as so far I've seen no detrimental image quality in any other inputs although I don't watch TV on it which may be where it's beneficial. Incidentally this seems to be different to DNIe, when I ran the DNIe demo the effect showed on both sides, I thought they were the same thing so I may be talking crap.
Andrew - fairly sure you're right about the TV model, I've done a quick search and think it's the LE32R41BD. I've checked the original order but it only lists it as 32" Samsung IDTV
Another option someone has recommended is changing the Xbox 360 reference levels, I haven't heard of this option so I've not looked into it yet.
Thanks for all the replies.
