Xbox Live Disconnects when I try to play a Game

Seems to be ongoing problems over the last couple of weeks and the service is up and down.

Its by far the worst technical issues the service has seen since it started.

Messenger runs though the messenger servers , so it may just be them playing up as they frequently do.

I see Funny thing is I can play games online e.g. Gears of War, Halo 3, NBA etc. with no probs just won't sign me in through the marketplace?

The problems they are having are so varied that no one knows what is going on. One moment it works, the next its borked.

The feed-bucket at the MS Live switchboard must have run out of banannas over the holiday period, so the apes must be frantically flipping switches in a desperate attempt to get a treat.
