Right being a forum dedicated to importing i would think you guys know a lot about this stuff.


Could someone tell me (from their won experience) how long play-asia takes to deliver after it has been shipped

3-5 days if you used EMS.

Usually if its shipped on the monday via even airmail, its there by Friday.

I usually go with normal cheap jiffy bag option on games. Far cheaper and also just as quick.

Usually arrives 4 days after shipping.

Don't forget to ask them to mark down the value of any goods.

anyways, i used the cheapest option (didnt av a clue what the other bubble pop package thing meant, which said it was registered..)

anyway it was shipped on friday, which im guessing....wednesday or thursday

Is it necessary to ask them to mark thew value of the goods down? Don't they do that automatically?

I'm considering getting Star Soldier on GC but if I'm going to get stung for import duty I might as well get it off Ebay.......

They mark it down automatically - they sure as hell do not read emails or know how to respond to them!!

To give them their props they deliver quickly. I have ordered a cube from there and not been stung using UPS.

Could someone tell me (from their won experience) how long play-asia takes to deliver after it has been shipped

I used ems/parcel force which took 3 days, but parcel force then lost it for 4 days in Coventry, and charged me ?16 handling for 11p import duty.

Used UPS Express ('Extremely Urgent!') and goods arrived in... 36 hours! with a ?40 import duty/tax fun extra.

thats 36 hours from the _initial order_ too, not from when it was shipped. Just took 24 hours after it was picked up from play-asia. Time it right, I reckon you could get orders down to less than a day.

I should really ask them to mark the value down, I guess...

For big parcels, and for EMS/UPS - ALWAYS email them straight after ordering to ask them to mark down the parcel, they always do

They are a friendly, professional import service - probably the best thats out there at the moment!

And for the guy who posted about them not reading emails.. I've recieved a prompt, friendly reply to EVERY single one of the emails I've ever sent to them!

I too have received great email support from them. I ordered an Ikaruga DVD that was out of stock. After waiting 2 weeks, I emailed them asking when they would likely restock. They immediately replied and said that they would try and restock in the next couple of days. I got the DVD 5 days later.

Great service on all the other games I ordered from them too.

the one problem is the lack of US games

What am I doing wrong then? I use their form to email them, I have geniune enquiries about my order, yet I never get a personal response, I find their customer service awful and their delivery good, thats just my experience

Better make it 4-5 working days though.
