Sounds like your TV doesn't do NTSC colour coding. Also, the NTSC machines don't support RGB. The only thing you can do is either get a new TV (which you really ought to by the sounds of it) or take the more convoluted approach of getting a component cable for it and buying a transcoder to convert the signal from that into RGB. But really I think you need a new telly!

I assume your LCD (Are we talking SD or HDTV?) has component inputs? Get a component cable! Even the cheapy one from PA works good for me.

That sucks. Anyways, you should be able to get NTSC-capable CRT for 15 pounds or less if you are willing to search for it. They are pretty common really, and basically anything that was made in after mid 90's should have NTSC-support.

IF you have an LCD then WTF R U DOIN using composite get a component cable, stat! They're less than a tenner for an el-cheapo one from Game like the one I have and it works fine.

Indeed, VC games look brilliant through component on my HDTV.

One thing you could try on the LCD is changing the aspect ratio to 4:3 on the TV when playing VC games because otherwise you're playing with a picture that's been upscaled to buggery and then squashed and stretched out of shape. Trust me, it looks a hell of a lot better in the intended aspect ratio. I even play a lot of my PS2 games in 4:3 on my LCD despite the smaller picture area because of this.
