I've not had much chance to test 480i, but I fired up RE3 on on the Cube and it looked as it should.Originally posted by gunrock View PostYeah, well done Shakey, forgot to mention that you can tell it to be 4:3, 16:9 or Full screen (which is useful for my monitor as it's actually 5:4).

ah and about the power on the hd box pro. living in australia im on 240v power (same as uk i think?) but we use different power plugs. rather than buying a converter of some description, does the box use a standard connection and can i just get a power pack locally that will work with it?

sorry to double post but just had a rumage around home and found 3 power packs, wondering if anyone knows if any will work with the hd box pro.
1 - OUTPUT: 4.5Vd.c. 600mA plug has diameter of about 3mm
2 - OUTPUT: 6Vd.c. 400mA plug has diameter of about 5mm
3 - OUTPUT DC 3.3V 350mA plug has diameter of about 3mm
all from old discmans/3rd party gba power cables. first one is the only one that appears to be decent quality but id be willing to try them all so long as i know im not likely to fry the box

Would it be possible to find out if a Megadrive 1 or 2 power supply would work on it? They both output 9V DC I believe.
Edit: The XRGB I mean, not the HD BOX.Last edited by honeymustard; 01-09-2008, 11:34.

@Shakey Jake - sorry, I meant with an XRGB, not the HD BOX.
Edit: seems like the MD power supplies are centre point negative, whereas the XRGB needs centre point positive. HmmLast edited by honeymustard; 01-09-2008, 11:53.

I've just started using an xrgb-2plus for playing my Saturn on our LCD. Have to say the results you get from these things are staggering. The picture is so vibrant and crisp it's almost like it's never looked so good (granted: it's been a little while since I played on a CRT). And then there are the scanline options which add a really nice layer of authenticity.
Soukyugurentai was my first choice as I think it's a beautiful looking game however you hook it up, and it didn't disappoint. From the brightly coloured title screen and intro demo to the thick of the action it looked incredible.
Silvergun next. Last time I played it through standard RGB on the same TV the hi-res background looked like a patchwork quilt and the polys lacked a fair bit of definition. But now it's back to looking its best ... nice and crisp everywhere and that lovely glistening shimmer on the backgrounds is back.
Onto Garegga. A murky devil at the best of times ... again looking lovely and clean and crisp. Perfectly playable (even in the 'stripe up the screen' mode.
Lastly, Panzer Dragoon Saga. Like Garegga it can look murky in places but again, it looks ultra cripst and sharp through the xrgb-2plus. Can't remember it ever looking so sharp.
Definitely recommend one of these if you haven't got the space for a CRT for your RGB gaming needs. Amazing piece of kit!
