Would a USA SNES fit in a UK shell?

I would do, but I think it's completely sealed. There is a line running around the edge, but I'm not sure if it's possible to open. Would it be obvious if it was possible?

EDIT: cable turned out to be a right bitch to open - sealed all the way inside - practically solid! Luckily Tak is a man of honour, and refunded me the money I paid.
