Can't add funds to PSN account - HELP!

Well I called up Sony this morning and the dude on the other end said they were having certain issues with people trying to purchase WipeoutHD last night and said it should be fine in the next couple of days or so. I will try add funds later on tonight, hopefully it works as I just wanna play WipeoutHD

OK.....so I just called up Sony again and said I am still not being allowed to add funds to my PSN account. The guy on the other of end of the phone said that if I tried entering my details in more than 4 times it would have blocked PS store activity on my account for 24 hours.

I explained to him that understand that but the card details that I entered were correct, I used the card on other various websites and shops. I was just updating the billing information on my PSN account as I have had a new card since the last purchase that I made on the PS store, which was a while back now.

He then went onto to say that PS Store works in a different way to online stores and high street shops, he said something about network streaming.....ok?! Apparently, cos I have a new card, that means that the bank is viewing the PS store transaction as "suspicious " so they block the any activity taking place. I said to him well that is a bit stupid then isn't it, he just mumbled something

In the end he said to wait 24 hours and try entering the cards details again (just the once) then if that doesn't work I should contact my bank and tell them to unblock the "suspicious" PS store acitivity. How stupid eh?!
