I'm not trying to start a war with SG or anything but the HCC review of the predecessor to that telly wasn't very complimentary (average, not crap, just not good either) and they may have sorted out the geometry problems with the new one, but make sure you take a good long look at both & get the remotes, play around with the settings etc.

The TV is cheap and i think the quality is great,i'm happy with it but like i said i haven't compared it to any other TV so it may not be up the with others.

I don't think you could get a better TV for the price though.

After seeing that offer in this thread i called them on Wednesday and they said they had none in stock but would order one.
Hope they havent cocked up by taking an order for something they're not going to be able to get. It was still on their website a few days ago when i ordered.
Have you phoned them? maybe they can get another. Ill be ringing them again tomorrow to check that they're still getting mine.

Well I'll definitely be phoning them tomorrow then. I've emailed them, because I didn't know what time they shut. I'll definitely phone them first thing tomorrow though.

They told you they were quite happy to order another one for you did they? If so that should bode pretty well surely?

I'll be severely gutted if I don't get this

I suppose that's pretty good, I'll have to wait and see what they say tomorrow.

                  Cheers

Just noticed this thread. I'd just like to add that a 28 inch WS is too small and a waste of money if you intend to play plenty of games.
                    Get a 29" Sony Trinitron 4:3 instead.

Huge, 50/60Hz, Lightgun friendly, mint RGB display, rgb shift adjustment.

The downsides are no prog scan and no true widescreen. (has 16:9 mode though)

That may be ok if all you do is watch tv but most people don't.
Anyway many games now offer widescreen so a WS is the best all-round buy for both film + gaming, and a 28" tv is certainly not a waste of money or too small.

Well I've sold my GC, PS2 and Xbox so I doubt I'll be playing games on it this generation

I bought a PowerBook this month, sold it a week later on eBay for a nice profit to go towards this TV

Well, I just rang them, they said they ordered some a few days back and they should be in next week or early the week after. I asked if I could order it there and then and he said it would be better to place the order on the net because they take priority. The only problem being that the page is non existent now. I told him this and he said it may have been discontinue so I've gotta ring back Monday and see what's happening with it.

Yep, i've spoken to them and they said near enough the same - its being discontinued but Toshiba would meet the orders already placed. Seems i got in just in time.
If you dont manage to get hold of one from this place, the next cheapest i've seen them for is at www.prcdirect.co.uk and www.rgbdirect.co.uk.
