no sign of the yellow flicker you mentioned but this is using the official 360 cable and good quality one to the monitor

strange as i've not messed with the vga input resolution and my 360 works through it fine running 1280x720 as i dont think this can be set and just lets the pc or whatever is connect to it run the resolution of that device.
i think for consoles it might be best to connect by component as i see there is option to tweak the colour settings on this in the menu.
the remote control doesn't seem all that good and prefer to use the buttons on the unit

I wouldn't recommend connecting anything to the VGA in though, it blurred the PC input slightly and there was also a slightly yellow flicker which was REALLY annoying. Also every time you switched to it, it set the resolution to 800x600.

There was definately a quality loss when I connected my PC through the VGA passthrough (1360x768 resolution). With the 360, you coudn't notice the quality loss on the dashboard because it's rather poor quality anyway because of the upscaling, but it would be safe to assume there is some. If you don't notice it, cool.

yes to me there doesn't seem to be any quality loss from when i had the 360 connected direct to the monitor, i only checked on the dashboard and not any games.
when the update comes for 16:10 compatibilty, i'm sure the image quality will improve as it will be using the monitors optimum resolution 1680x1050 or whatever.
going off topic, dell have released a 24" monitor that runs 16:9, 1920x1080 which maybe better for people who want to run consoles but not have a big lcd tv around if they are uni or whatever, it doesn't look bad for the price around £220

it would be a good buy but i can use the hd box pro until the dell 27/30 inch screens have dropped in price.
now for another test to see if it can work with a component switching device so more input can be used ?
