To be honest I don't notice any light leakage but it might just be me.. anyway I got the two bits I needed to connect component in (VGA > 3 phono and a coupler) and it works great with the Wii (obviously the picture isn't brilliant as it's only 480p). Haven't tried the PS2 yet but I imagine it'll be more of the same

Gonna get rid of my HD Box Pro now

On paper the contrast ratio sounds a bit poor.. considering you get 33000:1 or thereabouts on most full hd lcd sets today.

Does 1000:1 still cut the mustard nowadays?

LCD contrast ratios are usually bull****. Until we can buy OLCDs, we're getting poor contrast ratios. The figures quoted on sets are "dynamic" ratios, which any cinema fan will actually turn off as it ruins the viewing experience.

I have this monitor for my PC and I've gotta say its excellent. Gaming at 1920x1080 is amazing

I've decided to order this monitor as I've come to the point of needing HD for the 360. However I've noticed that it doesn't come with and speakers, and as such would like some suggestions for a relatively cheap set which would work well enough for gaming.

Proberly will get one of these before the end of the week

But before i make the jump, what is standard def picture quality like? Mainly interested in dvd/tv(freeview), and downloaded videos (US tv shows).

                Cheers

I use some £20 Creative speakers that I got from Argos. Gonna upgrade after Christmas I guess though

DVD and such seems fine. I watch a lot on iPlayer and download US shows and they all look really nice. Nice to have them fit perfectly too

Are people buying this from the site linked to in the first post? Is the company safe/reliable to use?

yup pcuyit are pretty good, they have an excellent dead pixel policy. as always though pay with a credit card for online goods as you get protection.

I thought someone had better post Dells latest promo on 24" monitors. This is the 1920 x 1080 monitor, so you lose a small amount of vertical screen...

not seen a bad review about this screen yet.

Can one of guys that bought this measure the height and width of the screen/case. Just want to make sure this would be suitable for a project.

After reading through various fourms about the Dell, I've seen a few times the BenQ E2400HD being mentioned as an alternative because its got pretty much the same spec (apparently both the S2409W and E2400HD both use use the same panel from AUO). So I thought I'd have a look around for the E2400HD and must say its looks stuning!!

A full range of pics can be found here:

The delima I'm now in, is which one to get? I can get the dell for ?215 shipped or pay an extra ?15 for the benq from ebuyer (I\ve got a voucher for free shipping form them).

                            What do i do

                            full spec of the Benq:

Benq is compared on avforums with pictures and the Dell seems to have the edge.
