Definitely on a case-by-case basis.
Recently I bought two EA games (Mirror's Edge and Dead Space) on PS3 because they are region free. I refuse to pay local prices for the region locked 360 versions.
Where Dead Space is concerned, I was extra happy with the decision because not only could I enjoy the silence of space on the more quiet hardware, but the audio quality on the PS3 version sounds like nothing I've ever heard on the 360 (no doubt down to the space that the blu-ray affords with its uncompressed and DTS soundtrack offerings that the 360 can't match).
The PS3 is also fast becoming my de facto media player, so switching back and forth between gaming and watching tv rips etc is also an incentive. The 360 will never met my expectations for this type of task thanks to the fact that it has to be online to watch DivX and its terrible operational noise/reliability.
