the reliability of the boxes seems very questionable. I'm on my third now (got the sky extended warranty which has paid for itself although agree its a joke warranty scheme).

it was the thomson sky hd receivers which was the worst due to rubbish quality components used in the power supplies which caused a few issues.

my amstrad model sky hd ,never had any issue with it but i took a chance buying it from ebay, even upgraded the hard disc to 1tb.

Fifth box for me. 4th Sky HD box. One went and was replaced, then 3 weeks after being replaced, was replaced itself. Was furious about that one, felt like they were taking the mick out of me, they came out next day!
