Just had a go on the beta and found the controls to be just fine. I've spent countless hours on the Xbox version too and I don't think theres any control probs. Love the way you can set seperate controls for other control devices, gonna be good jumping into a banshee and then taking over control with a joystick.

The only problem when playing online with the beta is the lag (works amazingly well considering the net code isn't there )

Grenades and rockets still kick ass, but alot of bullet/plasma hits don't seem to register (unless you're the host , and can rain down death upon all \o/)

The new leaked detonator drivers (51.75) have done wonders for my Halo framerates Guess that would be the fixed pixel-shaders. Shame they seem to refuse to let me overclock the card though, otherwise I'd use them for everything. Guess I wait for the official release, and hope they don't balls-up the overclocking testing doo-dah in the control panel with them too

Waren't they refused by Valve because they were full of cheats, hacks and optimations?

Nah, cos they had a bug (the fog) and legal optimisations but ATi had given Valve a bucket-load of cash Hehehe

Anyway, I'm playing Halo not Half-Life 2 8)

The image quality is still noticably worse in Halo when using the Det 50's - go back to the 45's mate. The increase in performance is meager at best with the 50's - and in no way worth the drop in picture quality.

(These new drivers are completely disgraceful, can't even compare cards using the same benchmark now. I'm afraid Nvidia now officially suck )

Perhaps we should ask nVidia to snub OEMs and start producing their own boards - the journey to the dark side (3dfx) will be complete.
