I'd probably recommend an unpopular choice: Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It has some absolutely fantastic levels. I'd also recommend Homeworld2 and Neverwinter Nights. Oh, and if you can't be bothered with putting the CD in every time you want to play it, go to [/url]www.gamecopyworld.com and get yourself a patched EXE .

RTCW online is my fave game of all time \o/

But after a few years of tourneys it's starting to die out :'( The only game i've played that relies soley on team work.

Just played through Max Payne 2 - great fun but short. Call of Duty should be great - the demo's definately worth checking out, it's a proper laugh. american release has just passed. Not long till it arrives here (or has it already landed? )

Interested in FPS's, soldier sims or strategy? If you haven't played it yet, Operation Flashpoint should be well up your list. It's getting on a bit but it still plays every bit as well as when it first came out. Easily the best soldier sim out there (although I havne't played Hidden And Dangerous 2 yet) and you'll be able to pick up all three campaigns (Cold War Crisis, Red Hammer and Resistance) for a bargain-tastic budget price of under ?10 too!

            I'm with you there.
It's a bit buggy at times, but the scope of the game hasn't really been matched. It's just so impressive when it's all working properly.

It was great on PC multi, but I never found anyone to play with.

My fav game on the PC at the moment is C&C Generals Zero:Hour. One of the best PC games made in my opinion. I loved Half-Life for very clear reasons and also Tiberian Sun was another favourite at the time.

I like the usual UT games and other things aswell.

Oni. If you've been stuck on consoles for so long, you'll need a decent beat-em-up to wean you off it. And this is it. Tough as nails too.

                    Battlefield is also a must.

                      Starcraft
                      Deus Ex

Clive Barkers: Undying (only about ?1 these days, great game)
Warzone 2100 (another old but good game)

Steam Client (Free with PCZone, so you can play Counter Strike etc online)

                      Civilization 3
                      Max Payne 1/2

Thats it until i can think of any more

                      O....C&C Red Alert 2

Been playing a few older PC games lately and out of them I'd recommend

Serious Sam and Serious Sam: Second Encounter - two completely brainless but incredibly entertaining kill fests.

Think of them as spiritual successors to the Duke Nukems with a little less toilet humour and about 10 times more enemies on screen at a time.
