I'd say it does have a lot of replay value. I played the dawnville and burnsville demos 5 or 6 times before the game was released.

Best FPS since Halo .FACT.
The set pieces of Half life and MOH:AA (the stalingrad landings have to be played to beleived) The Enemy AI and 2 weapon system of Halo and the Squad AI of Operation Flashpoint.
This game is fantastic. Forget delay-me-do Half life 2, Halo 2 and Doom 3 Xbox owners, you are in for a treat come April.

Um, not sure about comparing the AI to Halo or Operation Flashpoint though. It's a *lot* more scripted (in fact, almost entirely scripted I'd say) with very little freedom or emergent behaviour. The same scenario and behaviours will play out time and time again, like clockwork. Having said that, it's still incredibly good fun, just in a different way. PC action Game of the Year even...

Just so that I can make sure I'm FULLY appreciating the sound, does anyone know what setting I should be using for my Audigy Player?
ie) EAX 1, 2 or 3?
To be specific, it's an SB Audigy Player.

Fianlly got round to playing this over the weekend and it was a very short yet sweet experience. BUT in no way is it on the same playing field as Halo or even Half Life.
There are moments which are truly magnificent which will be one of those moments which stay in the mind for ever. Unfortunately though there are too many parts of the game which exhibit poor level design and fail to hold the atmosphere. Too often it proves to be incredibly linear, and although this leads to some magnificent set pieces, you can feel a little 'guided' at times too. The poor enemy AI is probably the biggest let down of the game, and the annoying I'll get back up after being gunned down happens far far to often aswell.
Don't get me wrong though, this is a great game and which at times provides some amazing gaming moments, its just not up there with the best. A must buy for any FPS fan or those that enjoyed MoH:AA.

The game is very good but not much better the MOHAA. More going on in the sky and a slight emphesis on teamwork, but its still rather linear.
I still prefer Battlefield 1942 and Op. FP.
Bare in mind that if you have a Radeon 9200-9600 card, the full game has issues (corrupt menu, errors, etc). A Detonator hotfix is available on the Rage 3D site.
Oddly, the Demos were not affected.
