Got an opportunity to buy one of these in mint condition, how do I tell which model it is (generation wise) and roughly how much should I offer?

Seller is a friend with lots of money but limited tech experience.

I have a 42" Pioneer, the last one they produced. Never knew these things were worth money still. Got a 5 year warranty with mine too, amazing televisions.

No help on the answer but if you have the chance to get one, buy it.

My mate has a Pioneer 42" (not sure on model) and the picture quality compared to my Toshiba 42" is light years ahead.

If he upgrades should I make an offer to him...?

Amazing TV's, i've got a 4 year old 50" Kuro and i wouldn't swap it for anything out now, and won't be swapping it for a while to come.
