What is worse in my scenario is that the guy insists that the image is good enough. I even offered to replace his cable with an HDMI cable and he said he didn't want to go round the back of his TV. Like, WTF!

When my mum got her first HDTV the bastard service assistant in the shop sold her an 'HD' scart lead for ?25 to attach her PVR. Assholes.

I had a customer one time that didn't believe me when I said VGA supported 1080p.

I always tell people to go elsewhere for cables though. I don't mislead people into buying stuff either. Not like we have commission so who cares. I'd rather be honest. o/

I found honest gave me more returning customers. They mad not have always made a purchased but they were around for the long haul.

I play all my consoles through RGB and on a Sony 20L4 and 2054QM and 2130 PVM monitors.

Results are even better that through a normal CRT. If your after the very best display for your older consoles, you cannot get better than a PVM/BVM monitor. You can keep your devices on LCD's etc, this wins

I do but it was only supposed to be one! I need two really as I am selling all my arcade machines so want a vert and hori set up for my supergun and consoles. I just dont want to keep enough arcade PCB's to warrant having a few cabs and so decided that the PVM's would make an ideal replacement for a cab as I honestly think the images and quality is on par with my MS8/9 Nanao monitors in my Sega Astros.

I bought the Sony 2130 PVM and its great and has scart and on board amp so you can hook some speakers right up to it. Problem is, when I rotate it, the 2130 suffers from slight red discolouring on the left side and even when you leave it of in vert and power on its not there but comes back so its no good for me as I bought it as a vert screen for my supergun!

So I ended up hunting for another PVM and since I live in the NW and all of the ones on eBay are in londo, I had to drive down to get mine and just before I was set to collect one, another popped up with a decent BIN price and it was 10miles from the one I was collecting so I bought both, incase one was a bit naff but both ended up being really good so well worth the trip.

I also have a old SONY monitor that I love because of the glass screen. Would sell but I paid a lot for it last year and so I dont think its worth me selling. Great picture though....







Plan is to shift on the 2130 PVM and keep my other two as spares as I cnat be bothered to sell them.

My apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but not sure if it validated starting a new topic.

I plan on getting a Framemeister sometime in the future, but I want to feed it the best possible picture from my retro consoles. What are the best options on my consoles:

- Super Famicom (have a RGB cable from Console Goods)
- Sega Saturn JP
- Wii US (I think I got the official component cable here)
- Panasonic Q
- Gamecube JP (Got a component cable from the very friendly J0e Musashi last year when he sold me a Gamecube)
- Playstation JP
- Nintendo 64 JP

Hopefully sometime in the future I will also be able to get a hold of a NES/Famicom, I guess the "max" on those is regular AV, if you don't do some modification?

Remember that the Framemeister is wired for Japanese SCART sockets, you'll need an adapter if your cables are wired for EU televisions. Also, there is no D-Terminal to component adapter included, you'll have to get one.

I searched eBay for a RGB cable for the PS1 and found a lot of cheap ones that is for multiple consoles, typically PS1,2,3, would one of those suffice?

Yes, I thought it was natural to have a RGB-modded N64 since I have one :P If not, S-Video. Always keep composite as the last option.
