I have the P3 headphones as well. I would echo all of your comments about them.

Also dont forget the sennheiser amperiors(?200-?250), and the philips fidelio M1's.(?130-?170).

Both superb unamped, and from a variety of sources.

I used to have some really nice Audio Technica (forget the name but it was the around 200 pound over the ear), if you can get them go with them. I recently bought some V-Moda M80's however and they have been amazing. After I burned them in they were pretty close to the Audio Technica which is pretty good considering these are on ear only.

Thought I'd hijack this thread since I'm also in the market for a new set of cans.

I've been toying with the idea of a pair of Bluetooth headphones for a while and doing some research, a good to great pair looks like it'll set me back ?200 - ?250. This is a lot of money but I guess necessary due to the technology involved to get it all inside a good sounding pair of headphones.

I've narrowed my search down to two pairs: the Bose AE2w and the Sony MDR1 BT

What I'm wondering is if any of you guys have any thoughts on Bluetooth headphones and whether they're worth the premium right now? Of if there's anything that raises your eyebrows (good and bad) about the models I've mentioned?

          Cheers me dears!

Depends on how much you are willing to part with?

I want two pairs - noise cancelers and some proper headphones - the sort I can use on my pc gaming and rock while wondering around town looking badass.

They look lovely, although I question just how soft that leather would need to be in order to be comfortable for extended sessions. The P5s were uncomfortable almost immediately, although they are on-ear admittedly.

horses for courses I guess, me and my mates think the P5s are comfortable. You'll never get one size fits all.

anyway, the leather is buttery soft?

Actually it was a heat problem with the P5s, not discomfort through pressure. I went with the P3s which don't heat my ears up and and absolutely fantastic.

I smear butter on the leather of my headphones for ultimate softness.
