Just do what I did:
1) Decide you want to buy a Mac because you've used one and decided they're lovely
2) Get worried about all these PC games you'll miss out on, like Counter Strike 1.6. Google your options re: gaming on a Mac
3) Get the Mac, and install Windows on it via Bootcamp
4) Notice how little you were playing PC games. Stop using Bootcamp after five minutes
5) Get ready to carefully word your sentences when talking about your iMac so as not to seem like a Granny Smith or a Golden Delicious or whatever they're calling Mac users these days
