If I can add a new tangent to this... anyone got experience with wireless/cordless headphones?

I looked at a couple of options in the shops today and they were cheaper than I expected (4000yen for Sony, 7000yen for JVC) which makes me worry abo quality, but there were no demo sets available so I couldn't try them out.

I want headphones to use with an electronic drum kit, and would prefer not to have a cord potentially getting tangled up.

I've owned Sennheiser and Philips wireless headphones in the past and never had any complaints. Best to buy a setup that uses radio transmission rather than IR which relies on line of sight between the sender and receiver. The biggest compromise with wireless phones is the weight required for the batteries and the relative lack of power to drive the speakers.

The audio quality over wireless will never be as good as a cable but for a drum kit they'll be ok.
Bluetooth will be adequate with a cheap sender.

Nice thread. Can I kindly ask that we fix the title so that it can be searched for in the future? Unless you guys really are talking about heap hones...

Any suggestions for the type of headphones that wrap around your ear and don't fall out?
I want a pair that don't pop out any time you move and I want to talk into my wrist to make it look like I'm CIA or something.

Regarding wireless headphones - what about latency? If it's for a drum game or even listening to yourself play then couldn't that cause problems? I tried a wireless transmitter once and the delay was something like 0.5s which is huge. Of course there will be some that don't have any obvious latency(PS4 streams audio over bluetooth, for example).

Failing that, I've seeen bluetooth/3.5mm converters you can clip on and use your regular headphones with(or maybe I dreamt this).
