    I have a digital TV so its constantly on.
    Do you think its the digital signal thats causing my lines,as this is what i thought it may be.

      Mate,

      I have my DVD player connected staright to AV1(RGB) and my Cable box connected straight to AV2(Composite) and if i put the TV into AV1 without turning on the DVD palyer, and the Cable box is on, then i get the sound from the cable box on AV1.

      Just put the cable box in standby mode and you should'nt hear a thing.

      PS i can't comment on the lines though befcause i don't have that problem. sorry.
