Just a couple of things I've spotted in the first post:

Gears of War: the Asian NTSC-J version works on my PAL console.

Oblivion: the PAL version doesn't work on my Japanese NTSC-J console.

I presume so. Unless the Japanese (as opposed to Asian) version is region locked.

Fable (US Version) is not region free, although it works on PAL consoles, but it does not work on NTSC/J consoles.
