Looks like I need to improve my score...

Something I've noticed on the Perfect DVD, and on rjpageuk's videos, is that the player doesn't bother using the missiles untill near the end of the game...does equiping the missiles hurt your normal firepower, or are they just being l337?

How many points did you have a the end of stage 6? I can only rinse 220000 out of 7 before I'm fed to the 5-core boss.
