Prefect Example, me and two mates. Two of us had 1mb other thought he had 512kb.

Playing DOAU would be fine until he joined, when playing Tom Clancys SCCT he would drop always, or the game would be unstable. Turned out he had 256kb with 80-100Kb Upload. Upgraded, Problem was solved.

Anyone who has a few poeple sharing the Connection will bollox up everyone.

Thankfully as Gerry said I got this problem sorted and now play all live games hassle free. Dont assume anything when it comes to your net connection, get it checked.

Broadband Speed Testers are widely available and should be utilised.

To answer the question - who knows ? Seems there's a "you may experience network conditions" message if you set the number too high which possibly is based on it measuring your upload ??? I think R6 used to do that as well !

not ****, we're on a 2mb connection and i rarely download ****, i just don't have the time to watch/listen to the stuff that i would d/l (unlike some thieving ***** who literally d/l GIGS of data every week)... i would however love a decent upload so i can actually play live online without the associated ****ty connection.

well i tried to join in the games of 3 seperate people who invited me but this evening the game wouldn't even ****ing start......................

it's done this to me a few times, the first ghost recon logo screen will appear and then it'll take forever to load (30 seconds) before the ubisoft logo appears, usually a second behind the music. then whenever i try to press any buttons i get noises but no action, i fired it up 5 seperate times but couldn't even get to the sodding menu screen.

it's beginning to annoy me now and after playing halo again this game just looks ****ing cobbled together by a bunch of arsewits with no quality control department.

I don't think any Live game supports that, does it? Could well be wrong, must admit.

I'll be playing tonight. Just be warned, Jack, that if you try and view the action through somebody else's viewpoint while using split-screen when you're dead, the red X crash bug appears every time. At least, that's what I understand from what I've read elsewhere.

Halo 2 supports two players on the same box, each with their own headsets. You need to have two gamertags though, as if someone's a guest then they can't use the headset.

My copy of GR2 just will not load anymore. Got a new drive here i've not bothered my arse to fit but got a loan of some torc screwies from Gerry so will try and swap it over ASAP. Same problem with Forza

Played a few Halo2 games the other night though and it's funny how I just can't seem to stay away from it.

I think I've somehow managed to promise Supaglue that I'll play some Halo with him tonight. If I do, I'll be trying to get off it as quickly as possible - honestly don't find myself able to enjoy it now. So yeah, GR2 and/or Forza. Maybe fire up GR2 first, then move onto Forza when bored?
