****ing update. Dropped me mid-game, necessitated update... and then I had to watch the ****ing intro movie again!

Dunno, but it cause about an hour of pain for our games tonight as some players got the update automatically and some players had to access the download manually.

Brilliant games last night - what a laugh. I got the update prompt as soon as I ended the lobby and yes, mine tried to rerun that video uninterrupted (I gather it's cacheing to the HDD)

Funnily, I played Halo2 for abuot 30 minutes and it has definately lost some of its shine since FC came along - nowhere near as enjoyable.

Predator Mode is criminal fun - I reckon one predator with 30 bonus HP against 5/6 mercs could be a real battle royale.

In fact, some maps designed around predator mode would be ace.

Mmn. I feel that the smaller maps that come with the game are a bit lacking; Solarium is probably pick of them (Warehouse gets messy and has dodgy spawns, and Altar of Anger is a sack of ****e).

The larger maps - for 4-8, 6-12 and 8-16, though, are superb. Tropical Forest, Long Horn, are all fantastic for big STS games.

Gotta disagree Paleface - We played Altar Of Anger after you left last night and for Predator mode it is absolutely class. Running down that bridge as pred at the start, leaping high with a howl then taking at least one mechs face off about 5 seconds into the game is so much fun it's criminal.

Thought that was a great wee map. Love Solarium too - And warehouse is OK but only for low (4) number of players.

Hopefully be on for a bit tonight - this really has become #1 live game at the minute.
