I'll add you tonight Don. Really looking forward to this now - hopefully something like Halo but different enough to warrant extended play.

          WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
You cannot t reconfigure the controls. You are stuck with the left stick for moving. (either move/turn or move/strafe) Better get used to it PDZ will probably be the same.

Nah - RARE normally accomodate that type of thing - the number of options in GE and PD was ridiculous IIRC.

Crisp - Master the reverse hands. You could invert the sticks and hold it upside down 8) You'll need to hold the pad like a crip though !

You are a fool , why would you wanna hold it like that anyway. fer-reak

anyway splinter cell was only 1 stick most of the time anyway, it was only whenyou switched to first person that you were meant to use it

True. However you couldn't invert the cameras x axis on Conkers BFD so I wouldn't hold too much hope.

It goes back to the N64/DC days with only one analogue stick. Obviously you wanted that for looking. I play games that way myself and it's hard to swap once you're used to it.

it was how you played mario 64/turok, the first analogue stick console games... left hand on the stick, right on the buttons, i have no idea how some game fans can't 'get' this.

it's not like i was doing anything different, just playing how it was supposed to be played, if anything you're wrong

GE and PD had 'turok' controls, if these aren't included in PD0 then they're fools.

I feel for you Crisp. I play inverted and can't stand it when games don't provide the option.

I used to play how you suggested. Quake 3 on the Dreamcast (quite a good conversion considering) had the stick for aiming and face buttons for moving. But since then it has been left stick move, right stick aim.

You could try and ween yourself off it. Slap on something with Halo 1's campaign and start again with new controls. You'd probably be used to it after a couple of hours.

thats what I had to d, I often forgot that i play games inverted and it feels wrong until i realise. Also making the switch from a old xbox pad to a spad was weird

That's what I'm going to have to do. I'm so annoyed you can't change the controls though, this seems like something which would be so easy to implement.

Anyway, I'll be up for some games on live once I've got used to this.
