Red/Whm would share quite few item's unless it was more Melee based RDM your using. You should find being in the back row of the fight past lvl10, so armor upgrades are done only for Stat up item's(in my case +Mp and +MND for my Galka WHM, i used lvl1 fishing gear until lvl 12 and brought cheap doublet for 12 to 30).

A nice tip for you, Worms in King Ranperre's Tomb(just off South.Ron) drop +1 MND rings, and Worms in Dangruff(just of South Gustaburg) drop +1 INT, just need a kill a fare few until there drop.

Just a headsup, don't choose white mage primarily for revive - red mages get the spell too. Of course there are varying levels of "raise" (the higher the spell number 1 to 3, the less xp you lose when revived. Having said that, a sub job is only ever half the level of your main job so you would be out of range for raise 2)

In my opinion at least, black mage makes for the better rdm sub as your damage and debuff spells are much more enhanced compared to the only slight mp boost of white mage. The mp loss can be countered with items and equipment that raise mp.

I'm pretty sure the BLM sub offers a greater MP boost than WHM anyway.

On to the very long mission now travelling across the world but I don't think LVL 13 is high enough so will hit the Dunes for a while.

Both WHM and BLM subs are needed if you wanna play RDM. /WHM for Divine Seal+Cure after using Convert and when you need Erase in your parties (and you will need it 'cause RDM make decent main healers, ie. no WHM in the party at all. You will be asked to do this) BLM for the INT bonus for enfeebling spells and damage increase to nukes, plus a few handy spells like Escape/Warp/Tractor/Sleepga/Aspir/Drain. That's just for EXP heh, you'll need /NIN and /DRK leveled at endgame too for other reasons.

Having been faced with the very same decission over a year ago I would definately recommend going with BLM in the first instance. Adam is right of course, you will eventually end up having to level at least White Mage for experience parties as you head through the 60's and other jobs for specific NM's / Missions / End Game activities

After once loading this up, playing for a few hours then deleting it, a few days later I reloaded it again and spent 20 hours over three days playing it. When I wasn't playing it, I was thinking of playing it. And when I wasn't thinking about playing it, I was dreaming about it. The game is digital crack, or the kind of girl that treats you mean to keep you keep keen. The combat in it is so crap but the levelling up 'grinding' has some kind of repetitive, sick enjoyment in it. I made it up to level ten, then having played for so long, lost the plot and started dropping back down. With nothing to lose I decided to see if I could walk from Gustaberg to San Doria. I made it through the highlands and marshes then then a pesky aggro goblin took me out while i was resting. I gave all my very hard earned swag to a mate and have deleted it again and then snapped the demo disk (really). No game has made me ever feel like this, the commitment and time needed to play it just made me feel bad more than good. I chose (real) life.

There are many Ghouls in Gusgen Mines (D-8 off Konschtat Highlands) and this is the place of choice to get the Skull from. You just need to be very careful in there with a party at your level.

How do you mean you couldnt go further? When you go in you go past a NPC on the right then you come to the cross roads with several mobs. The Ghouls are all directions past that?

Cheers for the words C', I understand Ninja is extremely expensive and I'm learning many crafts to cater for it. I want to do away with selling any items and use them for profit gain through recipes instead.

I recommend Woodworking and Alchemy as many of the most useful ninja tools come from those crafts.

GRR!!! The West of S.Gustaberg is just absolutely teeming with LVL.13-15 WARs who don't know what theyre doing - I swear, the Americans must think this is some kind of action game or something where you have to kill anything in sight!

It's next to impossible to LVL-UP around there without Provoke as you just get your Mob catch stolen everytime by some LVL.14 WAR who's only gonna get 20EXP max from what would be a 72EXP catch for me!!

Finding a decent team is impossible. All this mass influx of WARs seem to want to do is attack randoms, not provoke, not listen to advice, and then run off and do their own thing. I've been lucky and made friends with a LVL.7 WHM who's pretty damn cool and is good at healing and staying out of bother.

Anyone planning to start a sub anytime soon, a word of warning - it's not fun. I was actually thinking about dumping the sub job idea totally as I spent nearly 45mins running around in circles last night trying to grab JUST ONE mob without chance - everytime I'd get close to one the big pink provoke effect would appear and that'd be that with them shouting "USE PROVOKE YRSELF YA N00B!!" - Well, I would do if I wasn't a thief, you ****ing **** ****.

Will there be exclusive UK/JP servers once this hits retail? I can't stand the American way of 'getting things done' if it can be called that. No wonder so many of them get shot by their own troops in battle. I won't be buying the retail version unless you can act racist like the Japanese do and have a server choice for each region in order to cut out all the knob-heads that you don't want to play with (99% of America in other words).

Hopefully the dunes will filter out all the knobs who've never played an RPG before, let alone an online one.

The game has dropped considerably since starting LVL1 THF, it's like my cool little plot of land outside my hometown has been invaded by America - I'm gonna have to do all this again when I get NIN too. PLEASE GOD!!!? I hope the Highlands/Dunes kill a lot of the newbies off and destroys their interest in the game.

You have absolutely no choice but to team up below LVL10 and head to Dangruf/Highlands for some difficult battles with a ****ty team all for some crappy EXP that's at least steady.

And why are people buying Legionnaire gear offa me at 2,500K? Why don't they just trade their conquest points?

I'm fed up of trying to help people learn the game too - I'm answering the same questions over and over and the info I give just doesn't sink in at all.

I can't wait until I reach lvl.10 - I'm gonna solely level from the Young Quadavs in Palborough Mines whilst obtaining multiple Quadav parts for muchos Gil. I'm hoping to have around 25K (all legit apart from 1.5 of it ) by the time I go back to WAR20.

I'm gonna start selling Justice Bands to myself for 10g in order to steam-roll that exploit.
