Agreed tag games were awesome last night.

I found my skills again yesterday - got my GP back up to over 40,000 from 15,000 and from B to A rank - Just off an A+ now I think.

First time I've seen tag working without excess lag - more surprising there were 4 teams of 2 at some points.

Great games though - thoroughly enjoyed it but I really must pick a character and just sharpen my skill with them rather than rely on the random option all the time.

Oh, got the 20 straight wins achievement but it didn't give me it till about 24/25 wins - strange !!!

And some of the banter last night circa 2am from Grooselog and KANABEEF (a combination of cannabis and beefsteak - his 2 favourites things apparently) were comedy gold moments !!

It was against Yoshi actually, and his games were fine until I played him. It could be some weird NAT goings on at my end, it says OPEN now, But I couldn't join in a game with lisasimpson in halo2 either.

For sure it's your uploading - When you dload from Marketplace do you get pretty good speeds ? Maybe a word with campus techie-guy could shed some light on it ?

The connection is definately sorted speed wise now.

And everything seemed to be working fine last night, the games were smooth watching them, I could here you all without any breaking up, I guess you could hear me fine.

I'm downloading a trailer from the marketplace now and according to my network adapter I'm getting roughly 900kb sent to the xbox every second, which seems about right.

Other games seem to be ok too, I had some games of marble blast and they were lag free. I might go take on the world later on DOA. It could of been that someone in the room last night had conflicting NAT issues with me and was cuasing it to go nuts whenever I was playing?

338 kbps upload.

So you've got more upload so yeah I don't understand - must be something else - might fire on shortly for a quick hour or so if you fancy trying it let me know !

I felt really guilty last night, my tag team partner was a fecking DOA powerhouse. All I was doing was trying to tag him off when he did take some damage to extend his life a bit so he could get back to pummelling

Grooselog's commentary normally grates with me a little bit, the guy talks way too much But last night he was on top form.

I wouldn't take losing in a game so seriously.

Try to avoid playing with players of lower rank, because if you lose it bites point wise.

i hate this game occasionally - losing 1000 points gr it's gutting. but a couple of wins after that and i am back in love with it. bignige whenever we played u have always been beastly hard. i always seem lose against the cheap players. hate la marisposa(sp?)!!

The pad destruction thing has been on my mind for weeks now - I figure it's going to happen sooner or later - should start using the stick more as it'll take the beating better 8)

Tag mode has really started to shine for me - 8-10 players in a lobby all tagged up is absolutely top fun - great strategy involved in the actual tagging !

Kinda orbiting around 40,000 GP's now - can't seem to get above 45,000 as it goes up a wee bit then down again - I'm not playing B or below anymore it hurts too much when they spank me !!

EDIT : And yeah - Grooselog and Doggie Doggie were top fun - but the winner in the comedy stakes for me was KANABEEF (Combination of cannabis and beefsteak - his 2 favourite things) - His stoned ramblings were comedy gold.

Im sure sometimes theres just some screwy combination of peoples connections that messes things up. I was playing in a lobby of 4 and everyones games with each other where fine apart from me and one other lad. Does going through the campus network add much latency? Better off comparing your pings to say bbc.com. Its not how wide the road is , its how fast you can travel down it.
