Gibbon fires off 2 rounds every time he unmutes his Mic. It's a strange but true fact.

If you spawn in front of Gibbon, you're gonna get 2 lumps of lead up the Gary.

Shippng yard is a great map, perfect for snipers, but yeah they need support. (@ tbm) We can maybe try and play a couple of firesquads next time, to accomodate the snipes.

Forest Depot is good for a firefight too. Pretty easy for that map to go Pete Tong. I think we were fighting them on 3 sides at one stage. Then I ran in front of Peebles and his M60. That was..... unwise.

Thanks for the invites I got last night. I had a couple of friends who had just picked up another game and needed some coaching, otherwise I'd've been there.

The thought of Peebles with a big gun and being mobile is frightening.

Of course we will. Having noobs along is actually a tonne of fun.

Worth buying?

Well It will be 18-23 quid second hand, and then a tenner for the Download map pack.

I've more than had my money's worth, but I am easily pleased. Give me a social interactive game, where I can meet up with mates "From Real life" and make new mates from these boards, combined with dramatic maps with excellent lighting, a tonne of AI, APC's and trucks, and BIG GUNS that go Booooooom Badadadadad adadaddad, and then yes. I would say it's worth it.

Won't suit everyone, and requires gamers who can play as a team, and take it steady, rather than just running forward for the kill.

Not the best session I've had with you guys last night tbh. First game was insane, everybody but me and Van seemed to die in the first 30 seconds and upon hearing that a new guy was waiting in the lobby I thought we were gonna just go guns blazing out in the open - well that's what I did. Followed by a 20 minute master class from Van as he single handidly rounded up the enemy, the selfish bastard Thank god this game is as good to watch as it is to play

Too many crashes and freezes for me though so I had to drop out Plus I was a little scared of Van...

@ capcom : indeed, but tbh i dunno if its worth sacrificing a gunner for cover ? when it gets real hairy midway through the port, you kinda need everyone in place. we`ll work out the best way to deploy it though, as i feel we`d really benefit from having a dedicated sniper at certain points.

@ spags : indeed, its a real downer when drops happen, think yoshi suffered big time from them as well last night

@ unwell : its well worth it IMO. for all the pissing about and having a laugh, you can feel your skills improving, finding what suits you best (grenade expert, sniper, heavy weapons specialist) and the whole team ethic comes to the fore. proof of that is the shipping port map. so many ways to do it, but having a squad of 5-7, working perfectly, its bloody excellent. but also its great to observe if you`ve succumbed to enemy fire, you learn tons from watching your remaining squad members.

and hey, when it gets too serious, we all shoot the **** out of each other by "accident"

As often happens, after the first hour things really settled down. 1.) People observed the "Mute" thing and also stayed still for the first 10 secs of a game, and 2.) People started playing more as a team.

In a way 5 players is a sweet spot, as the server is stable as hell, and it's easier to communicate.

But it is a tough game, and I would agree the first games were a bit rushed.

Made up for it with 3 or 4 good sessions on Port and The forest level.

great games tonight fellas, vanpeebles truly is 1 man & his m60 in perfect harmony bit miffed he took my friendly fire crown though, mega drive did`nt know what hit him...

Too right I didn't , top laugh though just love the sound of guns blazing all over the place through the 5.1 SS system. Just don?t ask me or Capcom to go on a suicide run, we aren?t the best at that .
Another top game online , these new maps are just somthing else. If I'm not out in friday I'm up for more M60 love (ace sound effect) and then for my Chromehound fix on Sat morning with van and Paulos

Sometimes we have 4 or 5 of us on for a few hours, and when we've been having some great rounds, we just fire off invites to NTSC-ers as the server is normally private. I think we are like "Wow that was fun, we should show some others!"

Also I am a bit finger heavy on the old invite thing, So I'll see a buddy playing GRAW and fire an invite, only to select the guy above/below who isn't even playing GRAW! Sorry about that!

I even sent a congratualtion on your baby message to a mate last week, but managed to send it to an NTSC-er that was least expecting such congratulations!

I'll stick to blowing **** up. I'm good at that!
