I've been getting very heavily into this myself, also. Even with the limited content in the new expansion, it's already added so much to the game for me. COD4's been put on hold because of this and it's been all i've been playing.

It's a good game, and as risk says, the "expansion" is just updated content we have purchased ready to be unlocked by ST.

Exactly, SEGA are taking the piss once again, for the second time we get the priviledge of paying a monthly fee to be drip fed content we have already paid for.

It is vast imporovement, as some reasons I got tired of the game was never picking anything decent up, failing if I ever did, and grinding my ways through.

550 hours in and I have only picked up one board during play that is actually worth owning (S rank Baji Sneba board during 1up). That's more indicative of my luck, but for a game that hinges on the equipment you carry it hardly makes for compelling play.

I'm not going to lie, I am playing it alot now that the expansion is released, but the reason is purely is social. If the likes of Elaniel, his guild and Silvergun weren't still playing I'd have put this to bed a long time ago.

Just picked up PSU again. Gonna download the expansion tonight.

Did they ever sort out the lag when other players run near you? It was like they were moving forward and back a little while they run.

I't not perfect, but it's definately improved.

Does the expansion give you anything for offline play? A new story mode or anything like that?

I've never actually taken the game online, but I'm tempted to over Christmas. Is it worth starting now, or would I struggle to find any groups (360 version, if that makes a difference)? Can you actually cancel the subscription easily now, or is it still a case of having to phone Microsoft?

No offline content YET. There is a new offline story though god knows where it is.

360 version, you will have NO problem whatsoever finding a good group. Right now, almost 3 servers are completely full.

Got it all setup today and downloaded the expansion. Not really touched any of the new stuff yet as I've made a new character so I need to start from scratched. I wish I gave the online game more of a chance when it came out now. It was just bad timing when it first come as because I wanted to play my shiny new Wii and PS3 at the time lol.

Anyway, better late than never. I'm not a total noob at it though, I finish the offline story earlier this year and I'm a PSO vet so I'm a little clued-up with it.

That's grim, it has a new intro but we can't play it.

From what I hear (not gospel) - the offline mode is the same story and mission wise as the online story we already have on PSU.

We'll have to exchange partner cards sometime, I'd love to do some lower level missions with you guys.

The offline content is the online episode 2 from the original game, but with voice acting, that's about it.

Noticed this on PSOworld.com,

All rewards from the Platinum Cup will be issued beginning with this update. As mentioned before, they will last for three weeks due to the 360 server's rollback. It is unknown currently if the extra week will apply to the English PC/PS2 servers.

I thought the 360 servers only got rolled back a couple of hours when AoI was released, how come us 360 gamers are getting an extra week of 1up?
