nice impromtu session last night, thanks for hosting capcom blind seige really does get better the more you play it. the initiative swung back & forth all the time, with no 1 team gaining the upper hand for long. just sublime.

Well I'm trapped at home until mrs C_S starts labour, (Due date today and nothing on the horizon) so I will be playing more GRAW shortly!

Yes mate, but today I turned them off, as Chopeman's mate didn't have the DLC. If you are up for a game and see any of us online drop me a message and we can disable the content.

The new(old) maps are pretty tense though Marty, so well worth a go if you fancy it.

by mate you mean brother. he's actually the one that turned me into a tactical shooter fan. he's always played them but i never did until he showed me Ghost Recon 2 and from then on i worshipped at the altar of Clancy.

I`ve been trying to complete the ultimate defender achievement. I played with some randoms last night and I think I`ve found the ultimate tactic to get this achievement
Sadly some of the players last night got impatient and started running at the enemy like Rambo and we couldn`t finish the whole hour, but we were 3 or 4 people holding on for about half an hour.

I`m certain that with 8 or more dedicated NTSC`ers we can do this.

I`ve discovered that the more enemies you kill the more enemies will spawn, so going agressively out and killing a lot of enemies close to their spawn will only cause more enemies spawning and in the end drain our ammo supply.

So my tactic is as follows:

The map is Headquarters, my drawing is supposed to be a simple outline of the defend area of that map.

Three players lie down in the main defend zone (1). Two players shoot enemies, the third player is instant backup in case of surges of enemies, reloading an so on.

One player lie down in the other defend zone (2) killing any enemies entering the right gate. This player should not fire into the camp. The enemies killed at this position provides the weapons and ammo needed as players run out.

The rest of the players stands back as reserves (3) out of the line of fire and ready to take the place of any of the defending players as they run out of ammo or get killed.


Should the enemies killed at defend zone 2 not supply enough weapons and ammo an aditional player could go to the right gate and the two players can shoot enemies through this gate while other players move out of the left gate to pick up weapons.

I`m confident this tactic will work and I hope we can try this tonight if there`s a game on. The preferred weapon for this game should be the M36 SAW as it has 800 bullets and the possibility of single shots.

It seems Capcoms line is more stable than mine so he is my preferred host though
