Great games last-night with lads Yoshi, Rusty, Mardigan, Bignige, Mu5a etc. Done bloody well winning most our matches yesterday. Especially the ones where we managed to haul back the difference, notably those young un's didn't half cop a battering on Territories, I think we managed to secure all five in just over a minute or something silly like that.

Absolutey amazing session last night - best night of Halo I've had in a long time.

I just wish that BTB was ranked - we were an incredible team last night totally gelled and administering some serious, serious lessons in how to play some gamemodes.

As Bleeders said, most impressive were the ones where we were lagging behind, rallied, pulled fingers from arses, started communicating more and pulled their panties down to do them royally.

Aye, lots more of that. That's what the Halo/LIVE experience is all about.

My pick of the great matches was probably the Team Slayer one on Valhalla against 3 of the 5 who were a clan by the looks of things. We went behind by about 10 at one point, I think (will have to check the video) and then after taking down the Banshee, went on a rampage and managed to attack in a big pack, which then saw their cohesion completely vanish, when our numbers in attack overwhelmed them and made it easier for us to pick em' off one at a time as they went behind and didn't have a plan B.

Kudos to Yoshi for having a kill count double of everyone elses, 33 I think it was, not to mention a 16 kill rampage!

Loved last night - was racking up the assisted kills. Managed to help Fry get 25 ish kills in a row by driving him about!

We all gotta start somewhere...but you couldn't have picked a more unfriendly game to start with! It's a violently steep learning curve! But once you learn to unload a clip with your assault rifle then melee (basically all the time you are playing, have your thumb hovering over the melee button) you'll be alright!

Well I've played countless hours of Halo 1+2 MP, so I'll be alright

Is it me, or is the melee a lot more powerful in Halo 3?

There was some serious lag with some of our opponents but on the whole it was great fun. I really like Shotty Snipers if I'm honest, and don't like stuff like Team Slayer Rockets...I like team slayer just not rockets only.

There's some seriously good people out there getting matchmade against the likes of me, we faced a team with TWO captains, which seemed a little unfair.

Yeah, some good matches there, not much of a fan of shotty snipers if I'm being honest, I'm useless with a sniper rifle in fast paced FPS (not too bad in something like battlefield) and shotguns are far too underpowered - it shouldn't take more than 2 shells at close range to kill someone.

Our VIP rocket race was fantastic though, I recommend you play back the film and watch me with a rocket launcher

I kept swearing myself, unfortunately I kept forgetting to hit the Dpad first.

That lagging guy pissed me off with his stupid banshee, so I had to go up in one and **** him over, then he someone got into the next match and he pissed me off in that too.

Then in one of the shotty sniper games I think it was, some hoe called claire hogs the ghost.

We really need an all NTSC session, I'm sick of lame ass randoms coming into the games and causing ****.

Shotgun melee everytime m8, never fails to kill ! And if your to far away for the melee switch to your AR BR and finish them off !

I have to say, as fickle and small as it sounds, if they eliminated the pressing of the D-pad to talk, this could actually be a 10/10 for me.

So many times I find myself talking, then realising what I've forgotten to do.

That's another reason I stick to 4 vs 4...

what game type do you guys play where you have to press d pad to talk, I can talk normally without pressing d pad.

The small radio transmitter appears for me without pressing d pad

Team games require you to press either up or down on the pad (I forget which).

I don't think it matters what direction you press, either up down left or right ... it says so in one of those "interesting" messages you get while waiting for a game to start in matchmaking ... and it also points out that you only need to press it once, not hold it down.
