The penalties seem a bit unfair for quitting if, for example, I want to quit a game with crap connection (like red in the ping) because it's unplayable or someone is pressing the magical lag button on their router, I get penalised. Similarly, if everyone on my team quits, I don't really want to carry on 4 vs 1.

I agree actually. We were matchmaking and got into a sniper match on Valhalla, they had 2/3 captain ranks, and we were all "n00bs"...I wanted to quit, but you can't...you're penalised.

I thought the matchmaking system stopped that from happening? Or is that only in social?

Well, it tries to make a reasonably even team game based on skill, irrespective of EXP. Sometimes the difference in skill between the teams is 2 or 3, but by and large, it does quite well, I think.

Absolutely brilliant co-op and multi games with Bleeders, Yoshi, Simmy, etc. last night until the Halo network went into meltdown. Seriously they must have a cap on the number of folk on the servers at a time as it seems that once you get into the matchmaking system you are fine but if you come out and it is busy you struggle to get back in... well thats what me and Yoshi found last night very annoying.

Beautiful legendary run through with Bleeders and some really great team work moments toward the end of the first mission. Some nice skull collection aswell the game really does come into its own in co-op on the higher settings and this is one game that is going to be replayed through A LOT. Also got a nice META run through with Yoshi, Bleeders and Rodi on mission 1 but our score was so ****ed by the end we just ended up killing each other instead of ending the mission, hehe. Well up for some more score attack run throughs this week.

That level. On Legendary. With Skulls on. Pure. Digustingness. The grunts were laughing as they tagged us, literally, from the other side of the screen with alarming accuracy.

Great co-op run through with the lad Mardigan as well, some great teamwork, and now 1 down, 8 to go.

EDIT - To ensure I'm setting it up right; do you just do Campaign, set to Legendary, then Sierra 117, Invite in and when you finished the level, Start > End Game?

Couldn't actually see a Save & Quit option anywhere.

Aye, the grunts turned into NFL quarterbacks with boxes of plasma grenades on that level and it must have been a skulls fault as I have never seen anything like it... I was getting stuck AFTER I had been killed from being stuck. The number of times I had to watch my dead body glow bright blue and then fly into the air it was not pretty.

There was also some great stuff on that custom narrows single flag we done... I rattled Hoolak with 3 BR headshots on my way over the man cannon then meleed it him as I landed I laughed... loud!!

Not CLAN-NTSC related, but the other night i stickied the VIP on The Pit through the gap UNDERNEATH one of the fences near one of the turrets...

Thats the great thing about Halo 3, you can show allthte great **** you do using the file share... like my man cannon hoolak wipeout, or a great one I seen with 2 guys with swords going at each other also, watched a team slayer game with Yoshi last night where we won convincingly and some of the kills in that were fantastic.

Please let DMC4 have a replay facility
