Having to dedicate time to two of the greatest (arguably the two very best) multiplayer games is extremely confusing, and makes me want to slit my 26yr old wrists!!! I can't stop thinking about the other when I'm on either one.

It's like being addicted to both crack and heroin but only being able to do one at once.

Anyone about this afternoon at all? Might be up for some...prefer smaller games (4 vs 4) etc as I'm not keen on the big 16 player ones...too many random deaths...

I noticed today that there IS a host advantage thing, but it's easy to negate, just work out who's hosting and don't try and melee them!

Not bad, I haven't tweaked it yet but it syncs at around 16 meg download and 1.4 meg upload. I have a ping of sub 20, and switched back to interleaved as the ping didn't change on fastpath.

I played some good games, won my first match (Oddball, my new favourite game type!!) by miles then came 3rd 4th and 5th a lot...

I'm not convinced by the matchmaking so far (in that it doesn't match similar skilled players) but I'll keep going in the hope it levels out a bit. It just seems there are ALWAYS one or two who are just far superior and even if on YOUR screen you melee them, they killed you by beating you down

It's dependant on weapons too though mate, I've had this. Then realised they've dropped me with either a Spiker or Brute Shot, both of which have the blades attached to the underside of the weapon.

But if I'm slapping you in the chops with anything, how can you slap me back? No stunning at all I guess...otherwise I kinda understand.

The shotgun is the most annoying weapon to face in my (limited so far) experience. They run through a whole clip of your rifle, run right through it up to your face, just as you go to hit melee, one shot kill close up from the shotgun.

I adore unloading the shotgun in peoples face - especially running from fire round a corner, waiting for them, seeing them coming on the motion tracker then BOOOOOM.

I don't mind people running from cover and doing me, it means I've not been alert enough. What I'm objecting to is them running through an entire clip of the assault rifle, getting up close and shooting me in the chest for a one hit kill in the middle of me meleeing them.

You really need to of put a grenade at their feet with the assault rifle, to ensure you take them down before they get into shot gun range. Run backwards while firing as well, they will never get in range in time in a straight up fight.

The levels do seem all over the place at the moment. For instance I'm not exactly a great player and floated around the mid twenties in 2, but in this I'm still down at 2/3 in team slayer and in most games doing really well ! Sure over the next month it will all level out, as the Halo 2 veterans move up to a more appropriate level, giving the new starters a chance at the lower levels !

The levels seem to repeat a lot so far, played over 15 games but only seen 4 maps!

If it's like 2 then not all maps are open to all gametypes, and therefore if you for instance stick in team slayer you will not get the option of all maps.

I seem to only get The Pit, Narrows, Snowbound and Highground in TS atm !
