OK.. tried a new tactic after watching the world record ghost and it looks like there are some possible alternative strategies, and it's very likely that times can go below 2.10. My run for this time was quite messy..

essentionally yeah we use the same route but you use a mushroom in a different place to me so i'll experiment and see what i can come up

Another update..

There is a way of drifting/jumping on the inside bend of the last corner which saves a lot of time (think I did it on lap 1 + 3 of the ghost I sent) but it is hard to pull it off well.

.. gonna leave my Wii on and connected to the Mario Kart Channel for a bit so hopefully a few other people might log on and become confirmed.

well r3z was a right a good run before my day started and got into 2:09's but i was a little bit all over the place

ghost has been sent to

kurosaki7 and davidholliss but it wont send to r3z unless i challenge your data i think anyone else want it just add me and let me know

I wasn't expecting times this fast when I selected the course and kart for this one. Still it makes the competition better and makes us all try to improve by bigger margins to stay close to the top of the leaderboard

I know I can go faster than my time, just need to get the final bend nailed and I should be in the 12 /13's easily.

You can make the big jump in the car too but then you have no control what so ever.

May have to devise a route where I can use 1 shroom per lap as my time is set using all 3 on the final lap

Worlds best time is 1.59 iirc and is set with Funkey Kong on what looks like a Bowser style bike

yeah i know i'm constantly tryin to beat it cos i know i got r3z hot on my trails so thank you to him for sending me his ghost

i always prefer using i voom shroom per lap personally if you find the one spot that will make the most of its boost it can shave seconds off your time
