I tick most of the boxes, with the exception of the video card (It's an ATI x1400). LoTRO ran on it fine... it just looked ****ing awful.

I think I'll stick to my casual WoW playing for now.

Not been on in 2 days, thanks to combo of yesterdays patch and today being on ffxi(salvage rocks), maybe the exceitment of the big patch notes today made me stay on longer than normal. I'll try to get on tomorrow after another salvage run.

Not really looking to rush this game, from reading the forums the quest content past 50 dries up and its just a exp grind from then on in instances.

Lots of patching going on atm, every day there's downtime and a patch at the moment. Funcom are trying to sort out cheaters they say.
Sad to hear of the quests drying up at 50+, since that's 30 levels of 'da grind' we'll be facing.
Funcom have been praised for a smooth launch, but it may be they launch short of content and full testing at least in the lvl 30+ areas, thinking they'd gave breathing space to sort it out as the population would be busy doing < 30 content.

However at level 40 with 24 people in the guild if we can muster them we can start to build our own village to defend from other player (PvP) and upgrade to a castle eventually. I'd imagine there's a lot involved in that alone.
Add to that the crafting and gathering involved, making armour and weapons for the guild may keep things a bit fresh at least for a while.

Good choice, if LotRO looked naff, AoC will match the naffness, or even beat it. Buy a Macbook, I hear it runs ok on them

Now that sounds fun. Exploring/crafting is one of the things I enjoy most in WoW.

If I wasn't already applying pressure for a new TV I'd start applying it for a new PC.

Btw if any Cimmerian's need a guide to the Gathering quest trainers just let me know and i'll apprentice you and take you through Connall's Valley. Kind of odd that you can start training Gathering at 20 but you have to run through lvl 29 - 31 mobs

Heh quite an important bug fixed last night

The following important fix was updated today:

Withdrawing cash from the bank should now correctly add coins to your inventory instead of replacing the already existing ones.

For some silly reason i can't enable or select direct x10. Even though im on vista and my gfx card can fully support it. Has anyone had this problem?

DX10 version isnt functioning at the moment, I think it's supposed to be sorted by August.

Putting aside the bugs and stuff, what this like?
Is it any good? My wife and I play EQ2, EQ2 is her first MMORPG, would she like this?
Would her and my pc run it?

I said this earlier. Reason it takes so long, is because its installing 32Gigabitties. Which i find rediculous.

tbh I doubt yer missus would like it compared to EQii (are you on splitpaw you 2? Like wot me and me chums are)
EQii is very missus friendly, in both combat and crafting, AoC I don't see taking that aspect of gameplay from EQii

Assuming both yer rigs play EQii ok, then AoC should be acceptable. AoC however does shine with fabled PCs. Then again, can anyone run EQii on max? nope.
