I've had a brief look at this and you have to add friends via the name they give their in-game character!

There is a limit of 32 friends and the option to set up a clan.

This thread will be the same as normal, post your Forum Name & MGO Character Name. We don't need your PSN ID, just the name you've given your in-game character.

This is a total pain in the arse, but at least the Konami website isn't as flaky as it was during the beta. I had long forgotten my Konami ID and password so I had to use the Konami ID portal to recover my details. Didn't take too long, but still...

I've updated the main page but the game won't let me add friends yet. I suppose we'll have to wait until it's been released.

I was sort of hoping somebody else would take charge of a clan. It says that you need at least 20 hours of play time and need to be at least level 3 to set one up.

Do we have any news of regional restrictions for this? Just curious, as I'm sure we'll have a decent mix of the three main regions.

Tried to get this done "quickly" so I could take the name Rossco and get in there to download updates before everyone else was. But your name has to be 8 characters long and can't use spaces or capitals!? How stupid is that.

Yes, you need your Game ID (not your Konami ID) and Game ID password (the numerical one) to create a character. Then you've got to give your character a name.
