PS3 Trophy Leaderboard thread

If you have multiple copies of a game from different regions (i.e. a PAL copy and an NTSC-U one) do they populate the same trophy list or does each version have it's own entry in your trophy profile?

I think it works by title so you'll only get one set of trophies for the game. There's exceptions though like the Megadrive Collection where the alternate name of Genesis Collection creates a second trophy list.

Might be wrong on the first point though

I've imported a couple of games they re-bought and what happened with both was that it just took over the original trophy list.

I'd imagine that it would be the same with all games but I know that some games are released with a different name over here so I'm not sure if it's the same with those too.

So if i get a US copy of Demon's Souls will i have two set's of trophy list or will it be just one list ?

It normally works under the one profile. I have many Japanese PSN releases that all show as the same game as my friends UK/US releases... even if the title is different (e.g. Flower->Flowery or Stardust HD->Starstrike HD).

Demon's Souls is annoyingly the exception. There was one spelling mistake in the original trophy list, in order to correct that it would appear they gave the US one an entirely separate trophy list.

I hate having incomplete trophy lists on my profile but getting the platinum on the asian version was no small task, if I play the US version that will undoubtedly mean I end up doing it again. Not to mention it's kind of lame seeing the same title on there twice. I might just play it on one of my sub accounts.

Will hopefully grab the Platinum Trophy for Killzone 2 this week, just need to complete the game on Elite
