    Not quite sure, I mentioned in an earlier post about getting my ar$e handed to me by a guy in a Capp vs me in the Skyline, it occurred to me that since it was physically smaller I may be able to make the bends easier & to be honest it does seem the case.

    Not got any car tuned to the max but I'm probably correct in saying that they are all similar when done so & it's just the drivetrain which affects the handling.

    Not been on the PS3 for a couple of days so need to get back into it again.

    Best game I've got the PS3 by a country mile - have hardly touched Ferrari which I also rate highly.

      Capps are the lightest car in the game so with a full tune they zip zip zip around like nobodys business, so im told

        Interesting, playing the other night I lost to a few cars but not that far behind except one which really left me in the dust - Honda S2000, another small car.

        Some more info from the trivia section in the Capp Wikipedia page;

        "In Initial D Fourth Stage, the Northern Saitama Alliance raced a red Cappuccino (with Sakamoto as its driver) in a desperate attempt to defeat Project D's Takumi Fujiwara and his Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. The Cappuccino had a massive advantage going downhill, but the driver was not fully able to take advantage of the lighter weight of his car, due to inexperience with the vehicle and poor weather conditions. Because of the Cappuccino's exposure in Initial D, it is the only Suzuki car featured on the Initial D Arcade games by Sega Rosso."

          @Pharfetched, my wheel was funded by the proceeds of a car boot that a friend did for me last weekend. I don't know if I would have bought one otherwise, I think they are worth it but only if you intend to get a lot of use out of it. The leather smells lovely.

          I think for cars and techniques it will be horses for courses with different cars and tracks suiting different styles.

          I've yet to try the pocket rockets and having just slogged my way to getting two completely tuned cars and one left with one upgrade to do I'm a bit reluctant to.

          There is a lot to be said for driving cleanly through the course, I'm sure it is definitely better than hitting barriers.

          For tight corners I tend to throw the wheel into the corner early then straight and then at the apex hard in again and then out. Not sure if this is best or recommended but I can get round doing this. I'm sure there's lots of different techniques. Pharfetched I'd be interested in finding out more about that Initial D book you mentioned.

          And yes I have a one track mind. Just finished a little session before I journey into London for the day.

          New best for me on Myogi and in a Silvia which makes me doubly happy.

          Silvia spec-R (S15) - 2:37:709 MT

              No nose up at stuey but i still think the g25 is overkill for a game like initial d, oh dont get me wrong if i could afford one then im sure id use it but the pro is a fine choice

              course i dont have either yet so im sitting out the game for time being

                No probs,

                I'm the first to agree that it's complete overkill for just the one game, I'm hoping to see the likes of Wangam Midnight Maximum Tune and even a D1GP based game come to the PS3. Of course there's already GT5 to use it with. As mentioned before if it wasn't for the car boot sale I probably would have shy'd away from getting it in favour of the Driving Force Pro.

                Lizard King good to see you, when you're ready to post up some times and I'll get them added to the front page.

                  It's this one here bud, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=020 didn't come cheap as it was about ?15 but looks like it's quite detailed as it has 146 pages, still waiting for it to arrive, hopefully should be early next week. He's still got one left in his store if you want one.

                    Having withdrawal symtoms from not playin this. Currently changing furniture and stuff about at the minute so i've nowhere to set the wheel up.
                    Would love to see wangan maximum tune on ps3 aswell. Is there any realistic hope of that happening? I had the Genki Wangan Midnight at one stage and it was a pretty weak effort.
                    Pharfetched, did you just buy that book as a collector's item or you reckon it'll help you out? Looks nice tho.

                      I see it's for the arcade version but I snapped it up anyway. Will be good to thumb trough a copy. Cheers for the link.

                        Hurry up and get that furniture moved jamesy!

                        I think at the moment WM:MT3 on the PS3 is a possibility but with no current announcements it's still a remote one.

                          If WM:MT3 does come out it'll probably be around the time Namco bring WM:MT4 to come the arcades, a bit like what Sega's done with this as Stage 5's due out soon. They probably don't want the home versions eating into there arcade profit. Never played the Namco WM games so I really hope they bring it to the PS3.

                          I didn't actually intend to buy the book, I was searching for an Initial D D-File promo for the PSP when that came up in the search. From the pictures that he took it looked interesting so I just bought it, as Stuey said it's for Arcade Stage 4 but seeing as this is based on that hopefully there might be a few tips I can pick up from it.

                            Dropped my Skyline in favor of trying out one of the small cars.

                            I've plumped for the Honda Civic SiR-II (EG6)

                            Just done a 2:39:345 on Myogi, the cars not even fully tuned yet.

                            Current tuning step;

                            2-2-3-3-6
