To be fair, when you start, the rules are spelled out for all to see

Yeah I meant "the things that look a bit like boost pads or weapons pad but are neither and actually charge your EMP", but pickups was quicker to type and "fly over charge pads" didn't come to mind!

I only mention the EMP as that would explain the 70k scores, which is roughly what I got on my first go before reading the rules at the beginning SH4R4KU mentions. Doesn't make much difference at the start but by 200k it is a godsend as you litterally do not have enough bullets to destroy all the mines.

Improved my strategy and 326,900 is my best so far, and probably all I have time for!

Tried to better my 250,000 score the other day and could only get under so once again I think you win it! Will try and have one last blast today...

I've not been able to play this much after discovering that the act of turning on my PS3 makes my radio unlistenable with interference. I can't play racing games without some radio.

Jeez oh I am crap at this. 176,850. I started off just shooting wildly. Then I discovered the chain bonuses so started going for them and taking my shots carefully but got even worse scores.

Actually, yeah, I got a chain bonus but I didn't know why. What are they for?

Just hitting stuff without missing?

Hitting so many mines in a row without missing a shot. Instead of just firing wildly wasting loads of points. It seems each successive mine you hit, you get more points than the last and bonuses for 5, 10 & 15 times. But I can hardly manage more than a 5 chain ever as I'm crap!

I tend to just get 5 chains - when it gets more hectic I'm happy to just not crash into a mine!

Still can't beat my old score - got 245,000ish but was lucky to get that. Will have one more session tomorrow.
