Not bothered about getting any better at this segment. It's Area1 for me now unless someone works out an easy way to reach the 1600s.Comment

I 1 credit finished it last night (rubbish stage 5 finish tho) - I'm missing so much buzz it's stupid. I have no decent boss tactics yet at all, but I've got some of the stages down tight. Area 3 is pwn3d it's my fave so far but again I do absolutely **** all on the boss, has anyone worked out the conditions for the final shot pattern of Area 4 boss first form?
When each set of blocks blow up your Neutrino rate increases, but there is a 5th attack which kicks in to boost the rate further and gives you the sickest explosion of shots! When I do this section I buzz the whole thing to the limit but it dies and changes form after the 4th pattern. I've tried blasting the sections away but that was making the whole sequence shorter.Comment

Basically im buzzing everything he throws at me. Like you i buzz those heat shots up to 3 times. That makes a lot of difference. It took me ages to finally break through the 1400 barrier. Any unlockable bonuses such as area practice after you finish it Saur? That'd be a damn fine addition - I suppose you'd have already told us if there was.
I promised I wouldn't be playing this game again. The deeper I get into it the more difficult it becomes to resist though! Proper skag!

No you dont unlock anything - it's raw arcade version really ennit.
It'll be a couple months before I start putting up decent scores I reckon - I've got the shot patterns memorised for Area 5's boss and I'm gonna use that to train up on and work backwards like before, gotta get the bar timing down and learn when is the best time to stop an orbit around a boss to make sure to exit at maximum Neutrino - them manz on that fansite are rinsing 10000buzz out of this boss!

Just managed area 0 with 1422 after a few mins practice tightening up my technique on the red mecha. It might be that different peeps are picking up buzz in different areas, so things I've noticed that help a lot (*SPOILERS* if you like to find stuff out yourself):-
Discovered this morning the big ship that fires blue orbs at you and then green shots is your friend, if you put yourself at the bottom of the screen slightly to one side he'll keep firing past you for longer and you can probably ram him at the very last second as he drifts past when you work in DR. This should help put you at level 18 just before the red mecha.
Time it so you're about to level up when the red mecha comes along and hit him from the moment he's vulnerable. Ram him as soon as you level up until he's gone through all his explosions. This'll get you the most buzz from the red orbs which you should try to be right on top of if you're shielded. When the blue sprays start I've got the best buzz not by sitting on top and trying to hit both streams but by following the point of origin round one side as it rotates around the mecha, but it takes concentration to stay with it. You should be levelling up noticably quicker when you've got the right position, so you can find it almost by instinct if you want to play that way.
I'm still missing at least 100 buzz from this bit judging by the rate I level up. Perhaps you could buzz both sides by rocking the joystick at the right angles as it rotates around? Reckon that'd need a bit of practice...Comment

i still havent found myself playing Earth yet, as i havent been able to get hard version open yet, need to get level 144, and i can only manage about 130 going into it, need to get that spider boss down, i'm closing in on 4000 buzz for Area 1, and that fan site shows them managing 5000, so i'm getting closer..... wish me luckComment
