My current 12 months runs out in april, if I add a new starter pack code now will it just add another 12 months on and I'll be fine come april, or do I have to wait until it nearly/actually runs out?

You can enter it any time you like before your subscription runs out. My subscription has just renewed after I entered a new code in months ago.

I received an email exactly a month before renewal, which stated:

'For this subscription you will be charged ?0.00 per month, VAT included.'

Is there anywhere cheaper than Amazon to buy a new starter kit? I need to renew mine and it's gone up to ?32.99 - not terrible, but would be handy if I could save a few quid.

Those renewal codes are definitely suitable for machines from any region - that one I got from Amazon was definitely Spanish or something like that. It's probably how they get them so cheap.
