One thing I'd mention is I think Sunday is the last day of summerfest, so if you want any gear now is the time to get it. By the way if any of you happen to be scooping goldfish or anything I'll take them off your hands need a load more.

Limit Break 2 /yes!

Had an Alliance of 18 with a couple of high level helpers. Having only ever seen an occasional BST at work in game (usually where you don't want to), our Alliance had 6!!!

Two scary things happened on the run. This is the scene that greated me as we Teleported into Xarcabard:

I think I almost know what a static party feels like, and I like it! Ended up levelling at the weekend with the same group of brits on consecutive nights.. nin/war, war/nin and sam/war, and me blm/smn - those three were producing more skillchains than we had enemies to unleash them on, and most of the time we had a second blm as well so damage output was immense. We alternated between rdm and whm as the healer, and when we had rdm there was just no stopping us. 13,000 xp points gained in Kuftal from 8pm last night until I went to bed (died once after a d/c, escape, zone back in on top of a haunt). We've arranged to meet up again tonight to continue it.

One of the other blms that joined us brought back my equipment woes, he put me to shame.. moldavite earring etc. He was doing 70+ more than me on MBs with the same spell >< However due to the increased damage he was pulling hate a lot easer and couldn't cast as frequently, so after looking at it that way I don't feel so bad. At least as far as xp parties are concerned. I could sure use that kind of power for boss battles and solo play.

Anyway this bunch of brits have just started a LS for people in their mid 50s.. they've got about 8 people so far, and the samurai I was partying with (Lunce) needs to do 5-1 and 5-2.. I'm sure there are other people in the group who also need it so hopefully we can combine forces to get a nicely balanced party for 5-2.

Tal, what was your plan for 5-1? Wait for a shout or organise something? They gave me a pearlsack - I could give you a pearl so you can work something out with Lunce if you like. Obviously I'll help out if needed.

Thanks to Bayan and OT, Akashi and I both got our hats after a couple of hours in the Den of Rancor. I went first after a /random, no-one died but it got a little messy as everyone finding there place so couple of FiregaIII?s went of and a bit of crazy hate stuff near the end, Akashi run went super smooth, no AoE?s got by and zero hate problems. Top stuff.

I think im going to have to finish getting my Drk past the Kazham Stage so I can free up a load of equipment slots for going back to crafting which I been promising to do for ages, 200k should see me to lvl60(from 52) easily with plans to take it to 70.

That sounds great, I didn't really have any plans on how to tackle 5-1 with you guys having already done it. This looks like it could be a perfect opportunity so will speak to them asap to get something organised.

Another weekend of FFXI /Excitement.

Started off Friday night with another try at Novv the Whitehearted with Rarehero, we got the claim but no drop again.

Saturday was Dynamis Bastok which went welll even though it was TOTALLY BORING after about the first hour, but the rewards were worth it, got a dozen 1 Byne Bills which I managed to sell for 24k each, as well as a Gold Beastcoin a Wootz Ore it wasn't far off 300k from just doing Dynamis, I have three points now so next time im in Dynamis I can lot on AF.

I also got into a Manaburn party which while effective was a bit boring, good exp I guess.

Sunday was some more HNMLS stuff, firstly I saw there was something going on in Attowa Chasm so I 'tried' to make my way over only to get completely lost in Attowa Chasm (anyone know where to get the map) they managed to beat this Antica NM for some RDM equipment I think.

Then we moved onto Pso'Xja to fight a Tonberry NM for a BLM bit of equipment, we beat it twice and I think it must be guaranteed drop as it dropped both times, it was quite a fun fight as the Tonberry just wouldnt stop running around, I was there just for the fun but ended up being paid 100k for attending from the HNMLS which was very nice.

Later on Sunday was the Hakutaku run for Tobal and Akashi, it went quite well apart from me having some trouble getting to the NM, I really dont like that area, oh and Bayan sorry for the confusion dude and I appreciate you trying to save me with the train, I was just a bit confused.



Dynamis went really well right upto the end when we wiped and got removed from the area leaving the whm's with a rather big task of raising us all.



I gave up trying to find the others in Attowa Chasm so just fought some of these, it didnt drop anything and im not sure it was does drop anything worthwhile.

Just out without any aims just looking for a challenging solo fight, this was not it though.



I cant remember what this was for but Apathye needing a guide to Horlais Peak, I got us to the wrong part first but shortly found the right one.



This was just after the update for the NPC Quest, this took about 2 to 3 hours to get to the front and have my go.



It just got bigger, it was really crazy.

5.7k into level 54 when we stopped last night, barring some horrible disaster of last-friday proportions I should be level 55 by close of business today. 8)

Good news for anyone still needing swimsuits

The Azimuth Circle and the Sunbreeze Festival events which were scheduled to conclude on Aug. 15, 2005 at 0:00 (PDT), have by popular demand been extended to Aug. 22, 2005 0:00 (PDT).

Made 57 eventually last night, now its time to break open the piggy bank and get that gluttony sword. Hopefully by the time I get back tonight my numerous goldfish bowls will have sold! After that it's all nice and cheap till the knightly mantle at 60.

Most of you are probably aware that the last update added a vocal track to the game for those who beat the CoP storyline to listen to. A sample of which was provided on the POL website, however on the offchance that anyone happens to leave the game before beating the expansion or simply fancies like hearing the track, here it is in full:

Kudos to you if you can work out the lyrics, sounds like engrish to me. I have to say, this is probably the worst FF vocal track I've ever heard - it would have been much better to cut out the shrieking cat and just leave in the orchestra.

Hooray! finished a long term quest of mine this evening, then sold enough stuff so I could buy tornado, and picked up water III for a measly 5k then it was back to join the party I've been with for the past few nights (with Talizker along for good measure) so that's it.. I've reached 55.

I'm very eager to go after the shadow lord now...! Looking like it'll be the weekend before tal beats 5-1.. what are the chances we'd be ready to try 5-2 on the sunday?

Sunday should be good for me, a 5-1 party shouldn't be to hard to get see if you can get some time from Akashi and Theanu. With those 2 and you should be easy to pack out a tank and a few DDs and get the thing cleared. Heck I'll tank if I can be on a night thats good for you

Argh. Having had to cancel my broadband just to switch to a different provider, my phone line at home has now developed an "underground fault" and is completely dead. It could be two days before the engineer gets to look at it and I can't get the new broadband installed until its fixed.

Haven't been able to have a really good play (without fear of per minute call charges) for over a week, starting to do my head in!

i saw the LSMES yesterday in Rargh and someone mentioned a coffer key in eldieme? i think you guys are planning it tommorow. however if you do alter it and make it tonite, ill be able to help out. it could help me gain a few points in unlocking knuckles of trials
