Rare you are correct, it does have a winner stays on mode online, you get to watch when not fighting yourself.

Also the lobby, which you go in when you are not participating has a tv screen which you can watch the action on while running around as your avatar, im currently a Ghost and I have bought the Cloud lobby.

What is cool is that if its your lobby it displays on the wall your Live Motto, which also shows up in some stages as well.

As far as 3d fighting games go i prefer DoA over SC(after1), Tekken and VF. I'll be picking up after work, hopefully. Mainly cos FFxi gives me little time to learn VF to enjoy and Tekken to poke-fest **** hole with great characters. At least the new DoA seems to have broken away button mash roots.

I really hope they have tightened up the reversals in this. They were ridiculously overpowered and far too easy to land in DOA2 and 3.

I got my DOA4 today from Virgin. Not really sure what to make of it atm - beat story mode with Christie and only really experienced serious AI problems during the last 2 fights with a pair of counter whores - I took them to school eventually, but my god am I glad for unlimited continues.....

Tried an online game, was quite laggy which was a shame - If Rare can manage 32+ player lag free DM then why can Tecmo/Team Ninja not manage 2 player lag free?

I'll be on DOA4 tonight so looking forward to demonstrating how much better I am at fighting games than FPS... That would be no better ^^

Also finally got RR6 which I really enjoyed playing last night so want to try that online sometime to.

I think that after what happened with San Andreas, most game companies are going to be tight in regards to sticking in full nudity unless the game carries an AO/18+ rating.

That was actually my way of expressing doubt over the merits of the DOA series, in case anyone thinks I'm a perv.

DoA I must admit is my least favourite line of fighting games, Tekken, Soul Blade, Street Fighter, Virtual Fighter and even Toshinden tokk them to school. Hoping for a bit more from this one but don't really expect much.

What I really want is and online Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo edition to show you the meaning of the word pain on.

By the way we have to go play gauntlet sometime.

I'm not a fan of the other Fighters, they all seem too slow in comparisson (well apart from maybe Soul Calibur)

I have to say tho, that I thought the side scrolling beat-em up mode on Tekken 4 + 5 was a nice touch, big fan of those double dragon/streets of rage types.

Funny you should mention that Tal, I just came to post.

State of Play:

Me, Apa, moot, Tobal, Wedge and Mosley beat the minotaur earlier today (despite me not realising the draw in range of the mob and starting the battle prematurely). I'll be honest the I wasn't enjoying the mission as I died to it (although we still took it down) and we died a few more times to Stegotaurs on the way to the library (partly down to trying to help another group and getting trapped, as well as Apathye falling off a ledge then having to go back around again >.<. I just wanted to get the cutscenes and get out of there. However on the way we killed a PLD Fomor and Moot got the subligar drop (WAR and PLD share).

However instead of escaping we stayed in the hallway between the 2 libraries and started pulling the Fomors (they were paired up in teams of 2). Wedge had left by this point so we were killing as 5 and did really well. I would main tank main mob whilst Apa sleeped link whilst Moot held it in case it woke up. We killed RNG, THF, SAM, BRD and WAR types I think and our luck was magnificent. First THF we killed dropped a subligar for Apa, and first SAM dropped which Tobal claimed. We also got 2 Shakudo Ingots (me and Tobal) and 4 Balloon Cloth (Apa, Mosley, me and Tobal). It was a really good trip.

Just need the Corse gem now (Attohwa Chasm) and I can complete GB6 without spending a gil

however we are not done.

Tobal and Apa have agreed to come back, Mosley may be interested in getting a RNG subligar, I want NIN, then there is yourself, and maybe Tsing and Darwock too. Also, some NMs in there, 1 in particular I am interested in. So yes there is still plenty to do.

If we all get to Tavnazia around 8:30pm we should be good.

Oh and Riverne is amazingly pretty ^^

Excellent. I am logged off by the Aquaducts zone and should be free to get on for a 8.30pm start.

The area near the 2 libraries is excellent and we camped there on the last run with similar sucess to you. The only problem with that position is it obviously only supports about half of the available jobs ><

The SMN is very easy to get as there is a Fomor SMN solo right at the zone. We got several drops from that mob while waiting to get the Alliance together last time ^^
