I do Dynamis on a Linkshell called BigMacDonald its the one Overture teams up with, usually starts around 11am to 1pm on Saturdays.

So far I have cleared Sandoria and Bastok, failed to clear Jeuno and Windurst.

Yup I will be ready for ZM4 in about 20 minutes or so, the cutscene in Norg is truely awesome. From what I've seen ZM4 is doable with a party at 60 if we're organised. Other than that I'm on the trail foa couple of maps right no, SSG which I'm doing right now then Bostanaeux Obliette.

Having a casual try for my marble slab as well

Getting an organised Zm4 party is like golddust, mainly due to the setup to actually get to fight the NM being long and boring, the trip in through the temple and Den of Rancor is total pain and its easy to get lost with out a map which a lot people won?t have?. And the multi-NM fight is more about luck especially if the tanks haven?t reset hate in a separate costly quest, everybody?s grudge is nasty, nasty move.

lol, Everybody's Grudge, fantastic! I was wondering if that would make an appearance. Have they managed to keep the feeling of impending doom that you got in other FFs??

            Comment

Everyon'es Grudge will do 0 damage if you haven't ever killed a Tonberry. However the game keeps track of every Tonberry you have killed and totals them up. Players refer to this as 'Tonberry Hate' and the higher it is (i.e. the more tonberries you have killed) the more damage it does to you.

There is a quest you can complete which opens up an option to remove this Rancor (hate) for a fee.

Throat Stab on the other hand is pure EVIL! >.<

As for ZM4, I am now willing to make a start on the Zilart missions, as I was putting them off until I reached 65 which I got this morning. I've done the quest needed to reset my rancor so should be good in that regard (had no choice really when you consider the number of times I've killed tonberries trying to get that katana )

Just off to bed but had to post as a few of us just did something spectacular.

Myself, Tsing, Moot and Tal were riding the Selbina > Mhaura boat in the hope of getting Sand Charms for the quest. A few uneventful journeys go by and Tsing DCs in Mhaura. On the way back there to pick him up an old friend from way back shows up.

                SEA HORROR!

A few seconds pass as we move away and the monster easily takes down a 30ish DRK. I ask Tal if he wants to take it on and gives a thumbs up. It's on.

We battle away and things seem pretty easy. His regular attacks struggle to land although it has a couple of AOEs that push me close. Then he uses Hundred Fists.

This is not pretty and I try standing my ground but I'm down to around 350HP and realise I cannot survive this so I pop on my AF boots (luckily its night time) and kite it around using the speed boost until Hundred Fists wears off. I think at one point my health dropped to 150 but as I ran around the ship Tal was able to pop a few cures to keep me going. Once his 2 hour wears off we continue fighting and get it to within a slither of life when...

We are now docking at Mhaura.

                >_<

However we are now a threesome again as Tsing rejoins our fold and he seems confident it will still be there. Sure enough the boat leaves dock and its up. The 3 of us kill it easily with plenty of time to spare.

A truly exhilerating fight, came close to the brink on a couple of occassions but I was with 2 incredibly solid players and we pulled it off brilliantly.

Revenge on past boat trips haunted by the thought of this beast was ours. Another game aim achieved.

                /praise Talizker and Tsingtao ^_^

This was the result of my first Sea Horror encounter back when I was a 3x, trying to help Wedge...

and here is sweet revenge ^^

                  Superb

The pirates came on our last trip, but no drop /sigh

I also got the Garlaige Key last night so am ready for the Furnace trip and Coffer Key hunt! Wedge, are you going to try for a key before we go back? I'm quite keen to get on with the Coffer Key thing and would like to try and get that done in the next few day+

So the Sea Horror stays on the boat after it has docked, and is still there with the same HP after it sets sail again? That would explain why I've been smacked down so many times just by opening the door to go on deck for the first time.

Good work killing it! Did it drop anything? Did you get any xp? I've seen it killed before and that time it apparently only dropped a shall shell.. pretty miserable reward for such a tough monster.

I had plans to just take it easy last night hunting elementals and rams which all came to nothing, after traversing Yuhtunga jungle on foot I chose to drop down the wrong hole near the Grotto zone, and landed in between 2 EP goblins. I wasn't fully rested and so got myself killed. Died again on my second attempt when my blind/paralyse on a weak lizard did not stop it from hitting me a single time, and my spell interruption gear seemed to have developed some kind of fault - so I died again completely needlessly.

Eventually got to Norg and bumped into Tsing so helped him get a chest key, he was skilling up to 116 on staff so I tried using my scythe (105) but didn't get a single skill up. Grrrr. Then went into Norg, finished ZM2, but none of the NPCs I spoke to wanted my key item for the ninja quest. It seems with the confusion of not getting the key item and my subsequent talking to the Bastok NPC, he had told me to go to Norg before he should have done ><

Travelled all the way back to Bastok (during the ad breaks for Lost), then all the way back to Norg, then all the way to Bastok again. Unlocked ninja, went to bed.

The SH stays on the boat but not with the same HP. Its back up to full ><

Not only did we get a Shall Shell, we also got a Water Crystal!

i also got 27 exp. me and tsing are riding boat now hoping for pirates.

Apparently the Sea Horror can drop a pair of gloves which are close to worthless. The only reason to kill Sea Horror is to know you can

I got a sand charm during an epic struggle against the pirates back when I was in my 30s.. the crossbones were still DC to me back then and there were a fair amount of people on the boat, but nobody ridiculously high level. It was class, everyone taking on whatever they could with all the healers running around trying to keep everyone alive. The charm dropped off the very last crossbones I claimed.. I was buzzing when I got off the boat, one of the best experiences I've had.

                              Exhilerating morning.

A few rides were pretty uneventful so Tsing fished whilst I crafted more Scorpion Arrows (Got Woodworking to 56). However our 4th trip gave us what we wanted. Pirates!. Even though we were too strong to be killed by them the number of spawns, and the fact it's constant moving from one battle to the next makes it really exhilerating. We fought bravely yet despite our kills never got a drop.

We thought our chance had passed but we continued to ride the boat and remarkably pirates again the very next trip.

Once again we battled and we managed to get one Sand Charm which we lotted on and fell to me. However we had a taste for it now. We rode again but did not get one the next trip which went to Selbina where Moot had logged on and joined us.

Pirates spawned very next trip so we fought as a threesome. Actually slightly harder this time as Tsing had to toss out some cures for Moot who could hold his own but AOE attacks were putting him into yellow. However the little Taru seemed to have luck on his side and 2 Sand Charms dropped, meaning everyone got the item.

                              Brilliant stuff

i camped these pirates for 2 hours straight and still no pirates....sigh
