Final Fantasy XI Then...

Well today was Hume RSE, so off I went to the Gusgen Mines on 40 WHM with my flag up. I found the spawn and popped the thing pulled it down a tunnel and started figting with the NPC set to stalwart shield. Everything went will till around 50% and it used cursed sphere and my HP hit the yellow. Suddenly my HP start dropping fast I find 2 wights there so its death time. Stupid blood agro the damn things weren't even in sight.

Other than that though the fight went well, yag drinks etc basically still had full MP. So doable with NPC at 40, supruised as it is a 40 mob I think. Oh and blood agro = GAY

Gusgen is like the nastiest place in the world when you're low level... I used to go in there to practice my astral flows on the funguars - lost count of the number of times I'd be running for the exit with a conga line of skeleton warriors chasing me.

The remainder of the group were in the same LSs as the two Darwin award winners. Can't take chances with people like that, who throw caution to the wind and set fire to logic.

Rutter Sabaton run tonight, anyone interested in helping out, going to need quite a few of us for it, im going to go as Brd, thinking maybe I can buff in some way which will combat the NMs AOE, Tsing do you reckon you can handle tanking?

Apa, Tobal, Rare, Moot any chance of roping you guys in on this, also Moot you apparently have an Air Tank, so you could make use of that too.

Im low on exp so i would like have some kind of healer there, it AoE's hit hard, so see if you can get Tali or True to come. I won't be online till 8:30'ish as i've forced in an office 5 a side match

Wedge I should be able to come at around 8:30pm. However there is a possibility I may have something else planned a bit later so hopefully we can be prompt with starting. If it?s getting on for 9:30pm and we haven?t started that may be a problem (but this all depends on someone else anyway).

Not that I?m vital anyway. Looks like I?m just DD anyway although I am preferring that role of late

I got the summoner job, it took most of yesterday but wow its worth it I'm really loving it, levelling is great early on too! having your avatar fight,and yourself another creature = super fast

Drg's the quickest for low level soloing its almost like cheating!

Oh no dont give me more jobs to quest for, I kinda did consider drg but my love for the summons from the other games is the real reason I chose it :P

Had a somewhat successfull evening, 1/3 Rutter Sabot drops.

First fight was probably the closest win I have seen in a long time with Tobal reraising and landing the winning blow when he was one hit away from dropping.

2nd and 3rd fights went alot better, although im sorry Rare that you died again.

Hopefully we can give it another try, me and Tsing plan to bring some spare Air Tanks next time, although had just been to Rolanberry and didn't see any for sale so it might take a few days to pick some up.

Also Thanks to everyone for turning up, I think its great how we have been managing to do these tough NM fights lately, people showing up to help is always appreciated.

Once again, I'm sorry I became unavailable for the run. At around 8.00 I was in a manaburn party and I had totally expected it to stink like the majority of the ones I've been in previously. I was however proven wrong, earning 12k exp which put me now at the big 7-0 (wooooooooooot) with 5k into the level by the time I left.

Well a slightly dissapointing night last night with only 1/3 drops on the Rutter Sabatons. However thats one less we need and big congratulations to Moot on picking his up. As Wedge says once we have 5 or 6 Airtanks we should go back and go again. I will be shopping for these things as soon as I can.

I'd like to second Wedges thanks to everyone that came out again to help LS members for no gain of their own. Its good to see that everyone is supporting each other.

In other news at least last night wasn't a total wash for me either, got the Newton Coffer Key and will go map hunting after posting this. Lost around 6.5k last night in that first fight, luck relly wasn't with me. However today I'll get that back and I think before I touch another sub I'm going to reach 70.

Final news from me for the day is I've been invited to join a new HNMLS with Swordsaint and Jaymc, going to go and have a look and see how it is.

You know, really enjoyed last night. Due to lack of time this week, I had not really been keeping up with forum chat so had no idea what we were going to fight or what the drop was! Couple of deaths in that 1st fight meh, but 2nd and 3rd went much more to plan, helped (personally) by the fact I was back with my more familiar BLM sub although btw Apa arrived I was pretty much on Refresh duties only... but you know, I don't mind one bit - its the reason I love RDM, I can come help you guys out with stuff really beond my level!

Having just now looked at the Sabatons, I quite fancy a pair myself also. Is it tricky to get the Air Tank thingy as a drop? I asume so with all the "buying" talk...

Anyone got plans for tonight? Not sure what to do. Guess its back to the Jungle to try some more for the Marble (for Tele quest) then if I finally get that, Quicksand Caves for the other Tele I need @ Lv38.
