Final Fantasy XI Then...

Finally started lvling thf now that i have hit 60 with my Dark Knight. Dinged 14 this morning and hopin to ding a few more times on it tonite. At least ill have TH for farming then too. Looking to have Jag quest and the Bowyer ring quest up to the part 3 BC tonite as well if Wedge is up for it.

So after a week im quite chuffed as ive upgraded my Drk equip and spent my first mil! My list is a little smaller atm.

Obtain Lvl 62 Drk. Working on it Lvl 60.
Start CoP.
Level Thf to 38. Working on it......Lvl 14.
Obtain last 3 Staging Points.
More Assault.
Jaguar Mantle Quest, Working on it......last part.
Bowyer Ring Quest, Working on it...... part 2 of 3.
Gil, for Hauby, Zweihander GS if I dont get Arondight.
Arondight GS drop, as i need to skill up GS.

Depending on when i get home tonight (maybe 9/10'ish) we could do the mithra bc with mosely as Smn and tali taking care of healing.

Plan would be for Tsing to go in, 2hr and mosely smack them with Astral Flow 1 and Darwock with strong magic spell on mithra Y, then while the 2hr still up on tsing ES+Sleepga. If mithra Y is still alive i'll 2hr to finish it off or spend 2hr on another Mithra. We then hold on for the next minute for a 2nd Astral Floow to finish the match.

Also finished the Tenzen Path, the Cs with Fenrir recalling past events is real spine tingling stuff especially with the music. CoP story is brilliant starting to tie up loose ends in history from Zilart. Makes me want to finish ZM to

I got this Bomb Queen thing with Apathye tonight, and before then im likely to be farming the Ash.

Im fine for tomorrow though.

Off work today, just on my way to Norg and encountered a NM sahagin outside the grotto - Meww the Turtlerider. Not being particularly bothered by the regular sahagins there I just pulled him anyway and got 4 links, but when I popped a thunder III on him and his HP never moved I started to get a little concerned. Dragged him to the Norg zone and went through to shake off some links, when I came back there was a bunch of chocobo riders coming through - I reclaimed him just as they dismounted and got 2 of the links back. Kept my head, had him bound and ran back to use sleepga so I wouldn't lose the claim, drain/aspir and sleep to get back to full strength. All the time two of these chocobo guys were just standing watching. They asked if I knew what it was for and I said 'no idea'.. then they said it was a quest NM of theirs. I knew this was BS cos I'd pulled the damn thing from where it was wandering around. I soon realised the only way I was gonna win was with all my DoT spells and lilith's rod, cos this sucker has a strong auto-regen and any damage I did was restored by the time I could aspir - very reminiscent of the bloody coffin. However on about my 5th sleepga the two spectators had a brainwave, and cast Dia II on each of the links in turn. (I thought S-E changed it so that couldn't be done?) First ever time someone has tried to MPK me - Ayanne was the culprit.

Anyway they failed miserably, I just manafonted and whacked out a few -ga spells to wipe out the links.. pissed off in the extreme but chuffed to get one over them - they ran off saying 'nice you still got it' and I was like 'despite your MPK attempt eh' and Ayanne said 'Mistake'.. lol yeah right.

So anyway 15 minutes later I'm still fighting by the zone, got him down to about 90% lol, figure I can just about keep the damage faster than the regen but it'll take about 2 hours! Then another spectator offers to help, I said I was low on trust and he said it's alright, he has a rargh pearl so I accept - bluegollum, whm 70. We get him to 50% and the fecker uses benediction... I would have given up at that point if still solo.

Anyway we eventually were able to wipe him out but bluegollum spent the last portion of the fight with no MP and orange HP - I saved everything for a last minute burst to take him over the edge. No drop. Very entertaining fight though!

I am (slowly) working my way through the quests for the Bowyer Ring. Nearly finished part 1 last night. I haven't done any more of CoP yet.

So much to do, so little time lol!

He?s a 21-24hr pop I think, drops the pld cure +% earring. Wouldn?t think he would be that tought for lvl65. I?ve only fought him once and whooped him (no drop)

Tal for CoP if you haven't done anything since we ended you will need to do the follwoing

1) Get a bunch of cutscenes in sandy, the manor, port, and cathedral then some in windy I haven't done yet. That gets you ready for the mithra BC.
2) Complete the tenzen path (don't need to do this to do the Ulmia path), go to the avatar gate in the level cap 60 pso xja for a CS (killing ifrit has a map of how to reach). Then go to Cid to complete the path.

He wasn't that tough, he couldn't do big damage to me but he was practically invincible due to huge HP and auto-regen (plus benediction), I had to somehow keep MP for the duration as my melee hits are too weak. That was the challenge.

The fact that they were unsuccessful in their attempt to MPK you should be irrelevant You don?t mistakenly Dia multiple mobs.

They deserve a hit with the ban stick.

I thought GM's didn't do anything in those circumstances?

In my experience, GMs only act if the MPKer is caught in the act or if the player in question has been reported multiple times by different players.

Either way, its always worth reporting one.
