I think you can also use a Sylvan Stone to get access to the ENM but these seem to drop exclusively off high level (70+) beastmen in Newton Movalpolos.

Gambling is the most straightforward but as Darwock says, it can be costly. I think Moot paid 100k on one attempt to try the 3-man Tautaru ENM.

Then at 70% our smn's 2 hour'd and got off 3 Astral Flows Each

This sounds a bit odd, I used astral flow at the very beginning of the Mea fight and opened with a tidal wave, also landed the second and the third one i used 3 minutes later was the one that finished the fight - the mob should never have had enough HP to take a whopping 6 AF bloodpacts from 70% health, in addition to the other 2hr abilities you used! Not unless nobody else was doing any damage at all, lol.

Yep we were all doing dmg. Through out all of my 6 fights with this boss ive seen at least 4 bloodpacts hit for about 400+ and it wasnt enough. He was a total nut. They used Ifrit too and it was Firesday.

My hardest fight so far, by far.

I beleive Dem requires 4 bloodpacts to be dead

I'll have to take a look when I get home at the video, I know thopugh taht we landed 3 astral flows and 2 EES on the mob so thats quite bit of damage there.

Yeah but our EES's didn't match any of the tidal waves, I remember cos I took a bit of pride in that lol

I have a video taken from Wedge?s perspective of our Shadow Lord fight. It contains myself, Tobal, Wedgemoon, Apathye who you will know and Mihki and Mahlory as PLD and WHM who were Rargh pioneers in the early days but now sadly departed from Vana?diel.

We all waited until we were level 60 for the fight so we perhaps we were a touch high but we didn?t know this beforehand and were all incredibly nervous.

It?s an absolutely massive file (as Wedge recorded all the bravado beforehand) but I give it a watch every now and then if for no other reason than to laugh at my equipment.

Well there was a LOT of waiting (consider I got into Sky at around 3pm) but as of 9pm I got myself a Suppanomimi.

Was quite a nervy experience in the end.

Tobal and Apathye got into the first run (with them being fully fledged members of the HNMLS) and came out with a win with 27 seconds to spare. That got them their earrings.

I then had to sit out run numbers 2 and 3 both of which were failed which put me in a mega-negative mood assuming this wasn't going to be my night. But I got into the 4th group and was told to kite the Ark Angel HM (who is a combined WAR and NIN). Basically our strategy was to kill in this order:

Tarutaru (BLM & DRK) > Galka (SAM & DRG) > AA Wyvern (summoned by the Galka) > Mithra (BST & THF) > AA Pet (summoned by Mithra) > Hume (WAR & NIN) > Elvaan (PLD & WHM)

Our PLD ran in and Provoked the Taru and DD had the responsibility of killing it as soon as possible. NIN had the responsibility of pulling the other Ark Angels until they were ready to be killed so I provoked the Hume and started circling the arena I think I lasted about 30 seconds tops before he finished me off but the group was already working on the Galka and wyvern who also fell. I reraised to help with the Mithra and pet which we managed to kill before people started dropping and we agreed to wipe.

Sadly I never got far enough outside of the arena so couldn't reriase and rest up with the group and we were left with the Hume (who uses Mijin Gakure) and Elvaan (Spirits Within) both of which were nasty attacks.

Agreed to no messing about on Hume and was hit with Astral Flows, Ancient magic etc and any 2 hours. I reraised again and fought weakened ut was again killed when it used Minin Gakure. But we were only left with the Elvaan and strategy went out of the window as people dived in to finish her off. The Elvaan VIT and PLD defence made her very resiliant and she picked member off one by one with Spirits Within but our persistence paid off.

So a hard fought win. Lots of deaths but worth it for the lovely earring. I agree with Tobal when he says that Rargh isn't far off being at a point where we can do this in-house (and I know I'd like to have a run where I don't die within 30 seconds).

Tried the earring out in Kuftal Tunnel with my NPC. I don't have a massive Haste Build yet but I equipped the earring and AF body (both of which have Enhances "Dual Wield" stats which is supposed to be 5% per piece) as well as the Fuma Sune-ate which is Haste+3% and the results were nice. Less than 3 seconds per attack round. However the real fun came when my NPC Hasted me. Must be less than 2 seconds per attack round and even better when Double Attack kicks in.

In fact if Double Attack activated on both strikes the next attack round began almost immediately so the image on screen was basically my character attacking 6 times non-stop.

Already got my eyes on Koga hakama (relic legs) and Swift Belt (from Sacrarium) to speed me up even more

Congrats Rare. I had a good day yesterday also. Yesterday afternoon I teamed up with Kupo/Calad and we got a party together and completed Promyvion - Dem with no problems. I then logged to watch the footie and came back to have ago at Promyvion - Holla. My party destoryed holla completley! War/Thf (me), Pld/War, Whm/Blm, and x3 Smn. Holla turned out to be the easiest one for me!

Sadley I had to log at that point when i got landed in Lufaise Meadows as my lvl 30 War. Everything checks IT :/

What is this place all about? I know i have to go to Tavnazian Safehold to complete the next bit of CoP, but how do I get out of here? or even get back if i needed to?
