My FFXI is hoolak. I got given a linkpearl by somebody, which lets me enter their shell.. can I use that in some way? if not where do I get one? THanks for the info by the way.

What hours do you usually play?

Over the past week I've managed to squeeze an hour or two at around 10:30pm after work. But then I work four days on four days off, on the four days off my coming online to play is random.

AM Burst is the most destructive move outside a 2hr you can hit these Weapons with, as the machines, so weak to lightening. 1 thing in out favour is the weapons do not have regen, so if we wipe there HP doesn?t regen, so a useful tactic is to have the ES+Burst while your weak and of course Dot spells!

The problem with that is when I'm weak my MP pool isn't enough for Burst. If I can burst when I'm wounded though, that will increase damage. How likely are these things to hurt me at all, do they have AoE?

edit - might investigate the MP %+ foods though, maybe it can be done with some of those ice cream puddings.

You mentioned running back when shadows drop, does that mean they are not tanked the normal way?

It's obvious that 90%+ of the people that play this game have some real social issues in real life that carry across into the game. Never have I seen such a huge collection of ***** in all my life.

I actually enjoy the WHM job when I'm in a party that works. Most of the time I'm with PLDs that never cure, WARs that never emergency voke, and BLMs that don't sleep double pulls.

I love it when the puller pulls 3 mobs, I shout ZONE ZONE ZONE etc. and everyone stays behind to fight. There are 2-3 deaths and I get the **** for not saving people with cureII/III.

Then you have power levellers at Garlaige and I just sit and wonder why.

TBH I'm pleased I'm levelling two jobs at the same time it takes these people that depend on power levellers to lvl just one job. The other night a WAR wouldn't join our party as we didn't have a power leveller - so we had to sit for 45mins until some other tank would appear.

Yes they have massive AoEs hence the need for the polymer pumps, we will need 6 to take this on. The pumps stun the weapons and as far I know they got mental below 25% continuously spamming TP.

I did both the Job Quests in Arrapago, what else are you upto in that zone D? anything I may want to do also?

I still need to finish the puppetmaster quest, couldn't figure out how to start it and hadn't visited Bastok properly since ToAU so I only recently picked it up. Also I need to do 'the die is cast' quest, although I don't know what is involved so you may not want to do that until you have got your staging point secure.

For puppetmaster I need to go in the other way from you really, are you likely to be passing that locked door on your way up from the Dvucca zone?

The best part of the weekend for me was the botched up Holla trip. at least it was a bit of a mission.

I really don't know how you can all play when you are surrounded by blatant cheaters and RMT, it makes me sick and makes me wonder why I spend the time I do. I suppose the way around that is by exclusively playing with LS members.

I'm up for another crack at Holla on Saturday afternoon if anyone else is (I now have the key item and poison potion from Darwock still ). I also wouldn't mind a guided tour of Aht Urghan at the end of the week when I hit 40, as long as it doesn't turn into a complete debacle like it did for youse lot last night. lol.

Davi, talizker has already mentioned they're planning another ENM30 this week at some point. Promyvion-Dem is the common one that gets done, because it's easiest. I'll probably be up for one on Saturday anyway though.

One thing to mention, until you have cleared all the promyvion missions you can't just come and go from the crags - because you went into Holla first, you are now 'locked out' of Dem & Mea. You can reverse this by going back to Holla and using the same Large Apparatus that you used on Saturday. That erases your memories and lets you enter one of the other crags instead.

No, its unlikely. The enterance that I will be going in is 2 maps away from the one with the Puppetmaster ??? and the Staging Point is on the one in between. Without another Fang Key I am not going to be able to get in via the Iron Gate. Did you open Corsair yet as there is some more of that to do after I got the ???

I'm free on Wednesday and Thursday night this week. I suggest we could do BC30 and a dry run / first try at 6-4 on Wednesday with Thursday as the back up night if we get muredered.

That is fine with me dude. BCNM30 and CoP on Wednesday sound just great ^_^

Yeah all done with Corsair, that one cost me xp as well thanks to S-Es ridiculous positioning of the Escape point for Arrapago Reef. I found my way into the Reef via the back door of Talacca Cove, and thought Escape would be the perfect way to get back in the front without having to dodge all those imps etc. Wrong - escape drops you right on top of two Draugars and a Lamia, so using it is suicide. They really need to fix that in an update.

On that subject, are you sure you want a guided tour of these zones Davi? I can't even go anywhere in Aht Urgan at level 70 without risk of death, it wouldn't exactly be a fun trip! I'd stick to the city if I were you, although even that isn't always safe

I have my Dem + Holla crystals - I've yet to visit the crags of Yhoat, Altep and Mea.

I need a break from lvl'ing as it's stressing me out a bit - I'm also skint and need to think about finding 100k or so for some scrolls if I'm taking both jobs to 40 this week. It may make more sense to just take BLM to 37 for the time being and concentrate on WHM.

Well spotted, lol. Although that was not actually in Aht Urgan, it was in Tavnazia which you gain access to after clearing Promyvion. Noticing a trend here, lol. You might wanna think about tackling Promy for real (the actual missions not the ENMs)
